Benika Akiyama

Benika was abandoned in front of Akiyama yakuza clan's office as a baby and was adopted by the clan head because he couldn't conceive an heir. 

When she was about five-years old, the clan head managed to conceive a (second) daughter with his wife. Benika spent the next fifteen years honing her sword skills and training to be the best bodyguard and elder sister she could be to the (in her mind) true heir. However, when she turned twenty, her anxieties got the better of her and she left the clan because she felt she was an inconvenience and needed more real-world experience. 

Benika currently travels the world as she seeks out new and interesting places and people--however her cheerfulness and easygoing nature gets her into trouble as often as her supernatural strength and martial prowess gets her out.
