A good hammer forged by Kayla's adoptive father, as a gift for her 20th birthday. Probably the best he ever made, the metal he used to forge it is the one he found in the forest the day he adopted Kalya ; it also has tigereye gems embedded on its sides.

Story
Origin Story
She has no memory of her childhood before being found by the blacksmith alone in the middle of the dangerous Landes Forest. She was only 4 years old at the time.
The blacksmith took her back to his village where he and his wife adopted her, despite what people might say. Kalya belongs to the Creatus people, half-human, half-animal hybrids whose species is almost extinct following a terrible guerrilla war (see explanation bellow. With her race hated to the utmost, integrating into the willage life was not easy, but the young girl was able to prove herself useful and a good part of the villagers came to accept her presence ; although mistrust still lingers.
What she and everyone else don't know is that Kalya is in fact of royal blood. She's part of the family that rules the neighboring country and is the twin sister of the princess. She was abandoned because of a prophecy: Creatus twins of royal blood with opposite characters; the first, wise and loyal, would be destined to stop the madness of the uncontrollable, stone-hearted second sister, should she accede to the throne. Frightened and devastated, the King and Queen decided to ask for the royal council to observe their daughters closely in the first years of their lives, in order to deduce who would become the doom of this Kingdom.Kalya, energetic and temperamental, stood in stark contrast to her sister, who was nothing but sweetness and obedience. In the grip of fear, it was decided that Kalya had to be abandoned for the good of the people. She was taken to the Landes Forest, where she was left to die among the carrion, until she was found in the morning by the blacksmith looking for some rare ore.
But the royal family has made a grave mistake: it has unwittingly paved the way for a future tyrant.
The Creatus
The Creatus, half-human, half-animal, are beings who once reigned supreme over the land. Following a riot, their race was almost wiped out. With the exception of the royal family of the neighboring country, the survivors are hardly in an enviable position; most Humans reject them, refusing to give them work or even a loaf of bread.
