Andromeda was a happy little filly during most of her childhood. Her parents were not very wealthy or anything, and their house was small and modest, but she had all she could ask for. After turning 9, however, her father Starmelt found a job at the big city and he moved far away after a while, showing up only for special events such as birthdays or holydays.

With her father's new job the family was able to afford a luxurious house, a great school for Andy and a lot of other mod cons, but she never really wanted any of these. She had a very strong bond with her father, and so Starmelt being away for so long affected her a lot. With time she grew resentful towards him, and each time he visited they were more and more distant. After a year living this way, her parents divorced, and Starmelt's workaholism got worse, which made their reunions even more rare.

When Andromeda turned 13, her mother sent her over to the Capital to live with Starmelt, which they both agreed was the best for her as she would be able to access a better education and opportunities. Andy was definitely not happy about this, after her father abandoned them for some praise and fame, but she had no choice other than to obey her mother, who she was now rancorous towards too. She lives with Starmelt to this day, and their relationship is complicated to say the least.
