Ellis’ design is a lot different than his brother’s. Instead of being serious like Shiro is, Ellis would rather wear a silly cape and play RPGs all day.
Profile
The next generation of Nintendo! At least back in the early nineties. Even though he’s completely overshadowed by his younger brother, Shiro, Ellis is one of the most celebrated consoles in Japan. He loves playing his great library of RPGs! Maybe a bit too much, though. He’s not very good at being competitive against other consoles because he’s so busy playing games and inviting his friends over to play with him.
Ellis is always welcome to new ideas, such as the fabled SNES CD ROM add-on. When he first met the console, Ellis immediately wanted to become friends and started helping out with the development. Unfortunately, the add-on’s blindness led to them confusing Ellis with his more serious brother, who completely pushed them away. Ellis still wonders what became of them, but pushes that thought aside by playing more RPGs. (He wonders why the PlayStation has a similar library to his own console...)
Aside from that, Ellis doesn’t have a dark backstory. He’s very calm and loves working– and playing– with new people. When he’s not playing games alone, he’s usually playing multiplayer with PC Engine, his wife. The two met around 1990 and they love each other a lot! He also invited Gen over to his house whenever the former comes to Japan! What a nice guy!
