Anthael

Since the dawn of time and the creation of heaven, Anthael has been an angel; specifically a guide for the recently dead, meant to lead their souls to their final resting place. They've always dwelled between heaven and earth, doing their job and nothing more.

Up until the day they decided they no longer wanted to do what they were made to. They retired from their position and retreated to the human world; there they found a small town on the edge of a lake, where the sky was always overcast, and bought a rundown bar. Anthael, despite their odd appearance, way of speaking, and complete lack of experience running any sort of business, was not the strangest inhabitant the town had seen, and managed to fit in perfectly.

The bar they run is rarely and sporadically open, only when Anthael is awake and present, which is not often. Usually they stay in the second floor living quarters of the bar, or they're out on a dock over the lake, painting with colors only they can truly see.
