Backstory
No one's certain where the creature known as Chromidas comes from. All they know is that despite its ghastly appearance, it is capable of more good than harm, as while it is brutal and effective in it's hunting and murdering, it only targets those who have committed immeasurable sins against others such as genocide, or life-ruining unjust laws. While many of it's powers seem demonic in nature, ultimately it will even hunt down and kill demons without hesitation, and is capable of overpowering them effortlessly. Yet will not absorb their essence, ignoring the soul entirely. The divines have indicated through Gaianyx that Chromidas is not a part of their plans, and they seek to learn of its origins to prevent anything like it from being made again.
After crossing paths with Laddegus and Gieg a few times, and in particular attempting to kill Gieg, the two managed to use Chromidas' overwhelming strength to escape Castle Dormegar by guiding it to key doors it could break down. In addition, the presence of the creature has forced Blitzgarr to hide deep within his castle's cellar.
