A 12th grader who nearly dies after a vampire attack but survives due to the vampire turning him, making him half human/ half vampire. He's unaware of this at first as he has no memory of the attack, and just thinks he's getting sick. It's not until his classmate Wynn, also a half vampire in hiding, confronts Rowan about what's happening to him.
