He's an powerful Unicorn, but still sometimes fails spells. Due to an too powerful spell getting out of hand his left eye changed and scars formed around it. It didn't only change his eye however. New glowing patterns appeared on his body as a result of the failed spell. He didn't learn his lesson though and it happened again, but this time he only received an scar on one of his hind legs and he covers it up with an bandage. Even though he can use magic to carry his books and other items he prefers to carry them in his bags. Almost all of the scars are spell fail scars, except the one on the nose, that came from an fight with another student. Of course that little backstory doesn't need to stay, it's just something I came up with.
