Loki
"Closed in an endless loop, whatever you experienced in life before, will happen again." -Ivev
Appearance: Loki stands tall and lean, with a lanky build that suggests he is built for speed rather than brute force. His striking appearance is dominated by a beautiful light red topcoat that gives off a fiery glow under the sun, which is contrasted by a sleek black undercoat that hugs his frame tightly. His bright golden-hued eyes are piercing and intense, betraying a sharp intellect and keen observation skills. As he moves, a slight medial twist can be seen in his right leg, which gives him a distinctive gait, a reminder of an old injury that has not entirely healed. His tail is long and slender, but upon closer inspection, the minimal hair growth on it suggests previous injuries that have left scars, crisscrossing its surface. The scars themselves are a testament to the many battles he has fought, a visual record of his bravery and determination. Loki's presence exudes a sense of quiet confidence and deep introspection, a wolf with a complex history and a mind full of secrets.
Scent: Loki's scent is a complex mixture of earthy aromas that stir the senses. There's a woody, almost decaying smell that emanates from him, reminiscent of the rough, scaly bark of an oak tree on its last legs. It's as if he's carrying the weight of ancient forests on his fur. Underneath that scent is a hint of something fresh and alive, the petrichor that heralds the coming of a storm. It's a pungent smell, at once invigorating and grounding, and it wraps around him like a cloak. The combination of these two scents creates a unique and unforgettable aroma.
Voice: When Loki speaks, his voice carries a deep rumble that echoes through the trees. It's a voice that sounds like the growl of a distant thunderstorm, a sound that is both menacing and captivating. His words flow out slowly, each one heavy with the weight of his emotions, as if every syllable he utters is a physical effort. Despite the gruffness of his voice, there's a quiet intensity to it that draws the listener in, like the stillness before a storm. When Loki speaks, it's hard not to feel a sense of awe and respect, even if he's saying something that makes you uneasy.
Strengths: Loki's strength lies not only in his physical abilities but also in his mental fortitude. He is able to push through pain that would bring others to submit, allowing him to endure and overcome even the most grueling of challenges. His keen senses and sharp mind make him an exceptional tracker, able to pick up even the slightest of scents or footprints left behind by his prey. But perhaps his greatest strength lies in his ability to communicate with the spirits. Whether it be through prayer, ritual, or meditation, Loki can tap into the spiritual realm and harness its power to aid him in his endeavors. With the guidance of the spirits, he is able to navigate even the most treacherous of situations with wisdom and insight beyond his years.
Weaknesses: Loki's physical impairments are evident in the way he moves. Despite his size, his gait is slow and labored, his movements stiff and calculated. His once impressive speed is a thing of the past, his body unable to keep up with the demands of the hunt. The scars on his leg and tail bear witness to his past battles and injuries, causing him constant pain and discomfort. Loki's emotional weaknesses are equally significant. The pain of losing his pups has left a deep wound that never fully healed. The mere mention of them brings a melancholic aura around him, his eyes clouded with grief and regret. The thought of being responsible for his mate's or unborn pups' death is too much for him to bear, and the burden of a secret weighs heavily on his heart.
Biggest flaw: Loki's unwavering loyalty to Ivev and Thea, the two wolves he loves most, can be both his greatest strength and his biggest flaw. He would go to any lengths to protect them, even if it means putting his own life in danger. His fierce devotion to them can sometimes cause him to act recklessly and without regard for his own safety. Furthermore, his previously broken psyche can still cause him to struggle with his mental state. At times, he can slip into a dark and dangerous mindset, leading him to make poor decisions that put not only himself but also those around him at risk. His past traumas haunt him, and his loyalty to Ivev and Thea can sometimes overshadow his own well-being.

Personality
Unpredictable
Loki's unpredictability can be unnerving, as he can switch between two extremes at a moment's notice. At times, he can be the epitome of a gentleman, with his kind words and gentle touch. But then, without warning, his demeanor can turn cold and cruel, with his words cutting deep and his actions leaving others feeling unsure and vulnerable. It's as if he's constantly battling with his own inner demons, and those around him are left to wonder which side of him will show up next. This unpredictability can make it difficult for others to trust him, as they never know what to expect from the once-kind wolf.
Vulgar
Loki's tongue is sharp and his words are often laced with venom. His vulgar nature has grown over the years, as he has become more and more embittered by his past experiences. He will not hesitate to use crass language or insults to get his point across, and often doesn't consider the impact it may have on others. His lack of filter is evident in his tone, as he speaks with a blunt and aggressive edge. His words can cut like a knife, leaving wounds that are slow to heal. Despite this, there are moments where his softer side shows, revealing a hint of the wolf he once was before he was consumed by his demons.
Methodical
Loki's mind has become a weapon. He thinks in a methodical and strategic manner, weighing each decision carefully. He doesn't rush into things without thinking through every possible outcome. He observes and analyzes the environment, the behavior of those around him, and their motives before making a move. His thinking is akin to that of a master chess player, always thinking several steps ahead. His eyes scan his surroundings, taking note of every detail, no matter how small. He is like a predator, patient and calculating, always waiting for the right moment to strike. Despite his physical limitations, his mind remains sharp, and he has learned to use it to his advantage. He can analyze a situation and come up with a plan of action quickly, utilizing his keen intellect and tactical thinking. In many ways, he has become a more dangerous wolf because of his methodical nature, always thinking of ways to gain the upper hand in any situation.
Anxious
Loki's anxiety manifests in different ways - he may become restless and fidgety, with his eyes darting around constantly. He may also become easily agitated, snapping at others and reacting strongly to unexpected changes. His breathing can become shallow and rapid, and his muscles may tense up. Despite his efforts to remain calm and composed, there is a palpable sense of unease that surrounds him, as if he is constantly on edge and waiting for something to go wrong.
Secretive
Loki is a wolf of few words, and has a deeply secretive nature. He keeps his guard up at all times, never letting anyone get too close. His past is shrouded in mystery, and he will only reveal bits and pieces of it to those he deems trustworthy. He is always observing and analyzing those around him, trying to anticipate their actions and stay one step ahead. Even when he does open up to someone, it is often in a guarded and calculated way, revealing only what he wants them to know. This secretive nature has served him well in the past, allowing him to navigate dangerous situations and protect himself from harm. But it has also left him feeling isolated and lonely, with few true friends or allies in the world.
Morbid Curiosity
Loki's curious mind can often lead him down dark paths, seeking out knowledge that others would shy away from. He is drawn to the macabre and morbid, fascinated by death and the afterlife. His inquiries into the spiritual realm can be all-consuming, as he delves deeper into the mysteries of the unknown. His fascination with death can also lead him to be reckless, as he seeks out danger in order to satisfy his curiosity. Despite the potential risks, Loki cannot resist the pull of the unknown, and will stop at nothing to uncover the secrets that lie hidden in the shadows.
Background
Sayahier: Origins
Loki's childhood was a thing of beauty, a time of pure bliss and unbridled joy. His father and mothers had cared for him well, raising him in a land of plenty where the grass was always green and the prey was always abundant. From them, he learned the power of loyalty, respect, and kindness, virtues that he would carry with him for the rest of his life.
When he finally came of age, his pack threw him a grand hunt, a celebration of his coming of age. They feasted on succulent meats, laughed, and danced with the spirits until the moon was high in the sky. And then, as tradition dictated, Loki set off on his own, his heart heavy with excitement and anticipation. For a year, he wandered through the wilds, exploring new lands and partaking in many adventures. But as he journeyed on, he came to realize that he was a poor hunter, especially when on his own. His speed was his only advantage, and his grace left much to be desired. Surviving only by scavenging and the occasional small game, he never truly filled out to his full potential. He remained long-legged, slim, and gangly, forever looking like a teenage wolf. Despite his shortcomings, he never let his spirit waver. He pressed on, his heart full of hope and determination. And though his journey was fraught with danger and hardship, he never lost sight of his goals. He knew that he had a destiny to fulfill, a purpose to serve, and he was determined to see it through to the very end.Temiskaming: A New Home
Loki stumbled upon a pack led by a female alpha named Anthea. She welcomed him, and Loki was fascinated by her leadership. Despite the differences in customs, he adapted quickly and worked his way up to become the lead guard of the pack. Eventually, he fell in love with two females, Anthea and Thea, and took them both as his mates. Together, the three of them led the pack to prosperity, and soon their family grew with the addition of pups.
However, tragedy struck when members of their pack began to disappear. The culprit was a rogue wolf who attacked and killed many wolves from their and neighboring packs. Despite surviving an encounter with the rogue, Loki was left with a broken leg, which still bothered him to this day. The tensions between the packs grew, and peace was lost, resulting in the disappearance of Anthea and their grown pups. They had just begun raising a second litter, only to lose them as well.
With war breaking out and their pack in danger, Thea and Loki led the pack to flee, but they were ambushed, splitting the pack in two. They were forced to take separate paths down a ravine and into unfamiliar territory, with attackers in pursuit. Eventually, they found themselves trapped in a dead end. Loki and the wolves that followed him were given an ultimatum: join the attackers or die. Heartbroken and dismayed, all but two of his packmates chose to join the rival pack, and the attackers descended upon him and the remaining loyal members.
Despite putting up a valiant fight, Loki and his loyal comrades were overpowered and defeated. But in a stroke of mercy, one of the traitors tasked with killing him inflicted a non-fatal bite that convinced the attackers of his death. When Loki awoke, he was disoriented and unaware of how much time had passed. It was already night, and the rain had started to pour, washing away any chance of tracking his lost pack.
Mendeku: The Story Continues
Loki roamed the wilderness for what felt like an eternity, his feet carrying him over rough terrain and through dense forests. He was a wanderer, a lone wolf in search of something that he couldn't quite remember. The memories of his past were hazy, fragmented and vague. He journeyed around the land that he once called home, only to find it barren and desolate, much like his heart. Every time he returned to the site where he lost his pack, his heart clenched painfully. He longed for the comfort of the pack, but the pain of losing them still haunted him.
His mind was a jumbled mess, and he couldn't distinguish reality from his imagination. Sometimes he believed he was the one who orchestrated the ambush, and at other times, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was still being hunted. He stumbled upon different packs but never found what he was searching for until he came across the pack of Silent Oak.
Silent Oak was known to be the most feared pack in the new territories, and Loki couldn't help but feel drawn to them. He kept to himself mostly, observing and trying to understand why they were so feared. He soon realized that their leadership was unstable and cruel, and that was the reason for their reputation. He didn't concern himself with their affairs until he met a small, white wolf named Ivev.
Ivev was an "Administer" of Silent Oak, with unorthodox methods of healing. She sought Loki's help to research the priests and healers of the rival packs, and he obliged without questioning her motive. While on the mission, he stumbled upon a peculiar red stone that seemed to call out to him, and he couldn't resist its allure. Upon his return to the pack, Ivev used the stone as part of an initiation ritual that allowed Loki to let go of his past and start anew.
Loki found a renewed purpose in his life, and the alabaster dame became an integral part of his life. The white wolf seemed to understand him, and he found solace in her company. He knew that this was only the beginning of a new chapter in his life, and he was ready to embrace whatever lay ahead.
Whispers from Afar
Loki's mind was clearer than it had been in years, and the whispers from his past were growing louder by the day. His intuition led him deep into the territories of neighboring packs, and the voice that called to him grew stronger with each step he took. As he journeyed, he found himself drawn to a family he had long forgotten, and what should have been a joyful reunion turned into a brutal massacre.
He hardly recognized Thea as he lashed out and abducted her, dragging her unconscious body back to his pack. Despite her protests that she was who she claimed to be, he refused to believe her, convinced she was some kind of imposter. He left her in Ivev's care and continued his travels, listening only to the voice that called out to him.
The journey was long and difficult, and it was only after many seasons that he finally found the totem he had been seeking. Retrieving it was far more challenging than the journey itself. He was confronted by another wolf who was far stronger than him, and it was only by sheer luck that he managed to survive the encounter and escape with his prize.
His injuries were severe, and he had multiple bite wounds and flesh wounds. Careening off a cliff face, he shattered his rear leg, and if it hadn't been for Ivev discovering him in the snow, he would have died there. But she worked her magic, and the two of them bonded as he recovered from his injuries. She also helped him commune with the totem, which had nearly ended his life. The effigy was a crystal wolf's skull, and when he breathed through it, it shrieked in the most unholy of ways, darkening the cavern they resided in.
To commune with the ominous totem, Loki entered a restless dream that began with the sensation of falling. It felt like he was careening down the cliff once again, but this time the descent was slow. A thick mist began to surround him, clouding his vision and filling his lungs. The mist weighed heavily on his chest, making it difficult for him to breathe. As he descended further, he felt something whipping against him in increasing numbers. For a moment, he feared that he would be torn apart.
Then the world slanted, and he began to slide down something, no longer assaulted by the strange objects. The blades of tall grass he had been falling through were now whipping past him as he slid down. A bright light erupted from the sky, cutting through the mist, followed by hundreds of blinding orbs shining down on him and the strange field.
It took what felt like an eternity for his eyes to adjust, and he saw that he was not alone. At the other end of the reeds stood a red-hued wolf with its back turned to him. He attempted to approach the stranger, but no matter how much he ran, he couldn't seem to close the distance. It was only when he was exhausted and slowing down that the figure appeared to move. Gathering his courage, he called out to the wolf, but it only glanced over its shoulder before melting away.
The shrill cry of the crystalline skull echoed around him louder than ever before, seeping into his every being and threatening to deafen his mind. Agonized, he tried to run forward, but his feet got stuck in a black substance, and the reeds around him began to melt away. Panic set in as he realized that he, too, was melting away. Although there was no pain, he felt something snap, and suddenly everything came rushing back.
Images flashed before him from his first breath to his first love, his firstborn pup, and his first tragedy. Everything he had forgotten and repressed was all at once returned to him.
As Loki slowly opened his eyes, he found himself standing before a colossal tree that towered over him like an ancient giant. Its thick trunk was covered in gnarled roots that dug deep into the earth, while its branches reached high into the sky, their leaves rustling gently in the breeze. Wrapped around the trunk like a serpent was a creature of earthly hues, with scales that glimmered gold in the dim light. Its jaws were clamped tightly around its own tail, as if it were trapped in a never-ending cycle.
For a moment, Loki was transfixed by the sight of the serpent. Its eyes seemed to bore into his soul, as if it were reading his every thought. And then, suddenly, he was back in reality.
He looked down and saw that the skull-shaped totem had slipped from his paw and was now lying on the ground at his feet. As it hit the ground, it didn't make the ear-piercing screech he had heard before. Instead, it emitted a haunting melody that echoed through the cavern, piecing together all the fragmented images from his dream.
Beside him, Ivev stirred awake, and the two of them sat down to discuss the details of Loki's visions. As they talked, an ominous message slowly began to take shape in Loki's mind. The serpent consuming its own tail seemed to be foretelling of an endless loop - a never-ending cycle that would bind Loki's past to his present and future.
The thought of repeating history filled Loki with a sense of unease. He had made so many mistakes in his past, hurt so many people, and caused so much pain. He didn't want to be trapped in that cycle forever.
As the night wore on, Loki and Ivev huddled together for warmth and comfort, watching as the stars slowly shifted across the sky. And when the first rays of morning light crept into the cavern, Loki knew that it was time to face his first love and own up to the mistakes of his past.
Reconciliation
Loki's heart weighed heavy with guilt as he made his way towards Thea's den. Memories of their past together flooded his mind. He remembered how happy they were, how much they loved each other, but those memories were soon overshadowed by the pain and hurt he had caused her.
As he entered her den, Loki found Thea lying on the ground, her body broken and weak. He could see the pain etched on her face, both physical and emotional. For a moment, he hesitated, unsure if he could face her after everything he had done. But he knew he had to try.
He approached her slowly, cautiously, as if he were afraid of spooking her. But when she looked up at him with tear-filled eyes, he knew he had made the right decision. He sat down beside her and began to explain everything. He told her about Ivev and the unborn pups, how sorry he was for everything he had done.
At first, Thea was angry, hurt and betrayed, but as he spoke, her anger began to fade. She listened to him, and as he finished speaking, she forgave him. Loki was surprised, he didn't think he deserved her forgiveness. He tried to protest, but she stopped him, telling him that she knew he was sorry and that she still loved him.
Loki was grateful for Thea's forgiveness, but at the same time, he felt unworthy of her love. As he left her den, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him. The serpent's warning still echoed in his mind, and he couldn't shake the feeling that his past would come back to haunt him.
Toxins
Loki had never been one to question Ivev's requests. So, when she gave him the task of poisoning Lunar Creek, he set out to do it without hesitation. It was a task that required precision and secrecy, but he was a skilled hunter and his knowledge of the area gave him an advantage. He managed to slip into the creek undetected and added the poisonous substance to the water, watching as it spread and tainted everything in its path.
As Loki carried out the task, he felt a gnawing sense of unease. Something about the plan didn't feel right. But he pushed those thoughts aside and carried on with the poisoning of the waters. Little did he know, his own life was in grave danger. After bathing in the waters of his home, the toxin had begun to affect him and he nearly lost his life as a result.
Loki lay dying, he had resigned himself to the fact that he would die alone. But then, the spirit of his deceased son appeared to him. Thea was guided to Loki by the spirit and found him on the brink of death. She knew what to do and led him to Ivev, who immediately provided supportive care.
It was then that Ivev came clean and told Loki the truth. The poisoning was not limited to Lunar Creek, but all three packs, including his own. Loki was devastated and felt responsible for the many lives lost due to his actions.
Under the influence of peyote and guided by the spirits, Loki gave Ivev the ingredients of a cure that barely saved his life. However, the damage had already been done, and many had lost their lives due to the toxin. Lloyd, one of the deceased, was the first vengeful spirit to haunt Loki, beginning his spiral of guilt and shame.
A Dangerous Game
As the days passed, Loki's guilt over the toxin continued to weigh heavily on him. His mind constantly raced with thoughts of the innocent lives lost and the repercussions that could still come. With Ivev heavily pregnant and their future children to consider, Loki felt a growing desperation to protect them at all costs.
The idea came to him one night as he lay awake, unable to sleep. He could take the blame for the poisoning, confessing that he acted alone without Ivev's knowledge or involvement. It was a dangerous plan, one that would likely result in his own death or exile, but he couldn't bear the thought of his mate or their unborn pups suffering the same fate.
Loki knew the other packs would be furious if they found out the truth about the poisoning, and he couldn't let Ivev take the fall. He had to protect her and their children, even if it meant sacrificing himself.
As the weeks went by and Ivev's due date drew near, Loki's determination to go through with his plan only grew stronger. He knew it was a risk, but he couldn't let the truth be revealed. He had to keep his family safe, no matter the cost.
Thea
[ Mate ]
Loki's feelings for his first love are complicated and intense. Despite the betrayal that has left their relationship in turmoil, he still carries a deep love for her. Memories of their time together bring a rush of bittersweet emotions that he struggles to keep buried. The scent of her can bring on a mix of feelings, from longing to anger. He feels a sense of responsibility towards her and cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of guilt for how things ended. The mere thought of her can make his heart ache with both love and pain. Despite everything, he still holds onto the hope that they may one day be able to reconcile and find a way to move forward.
Ivev
[ Mistress ]
Loki's love for Ivev is strong and deep-rooted, stemming from a connection that surpasses words. When he's around her, his eyes light up, and his body language softens. He can't help but be drawn to her warmth and the way she carries herself with such grace and strength. The thought of her and their unborn pups being harmed fills him with a fierce sense of protectiveness. He'd do anything to keep them safe, even if it meant sacrificing himself in the process. Every moment he spends with Ivev is treasured, and he cherishes the times they spend together as a family, dreaming of what their future may hold.
