Remix

Emine Sanae(小菜絵笑音 Sanae Emine) nicknamed as "Remix"(リミックス Rimikkusu) is Aoi’s second partner.

Appearance

Remix is a young man with an innocent look and androgynous appearances with pale skin and dusty green colored chin-length wavy hair, his bangs faced to the right and exposed his left forehead. In his hair, he wears an X Hairpin with red and blue stick. His eyes are heterochromia of red and blue eyes. 

Remix sports a black-white dress shirt with different stripes and patterns and a black long pants with a white stripes and a button on the hem. Remix also wears a black-white sneakers with red wires on his right leg and blue wires on his left legs.

in NEO: The World Ends With You, Remix has grown taller and his hairs has turns spiky, his bangs changes into triple bangs. On the back side of his hair, he has a ponytail ties it with his blue-red X ornament. He wears his partner Aoi hat and pinned it with Remix’s 6 X’s ornament, red X, blue X, and green X. He wears a scarf with checkered patterns, and sports a full of MONOCROW threads with the size of oversize. He wears a white tank top with heart-star music beam symbols on his chest, oversize jacket with long sleeves with white stripes on his sleeves. And a Monochrome Shorts that has MONOCROW logo on the crotch area and two arrows on the right bottom, with leggings and a checkered pattern stripe on his left leg and wears a Monocrow Leather Sneakers. He also wears Monochrome watch.

Personality

Remix remain a mysterious boy and refuse to talk about himself. He preferred to be called “Remix” to keep a secret of himself. Despite being mysterious, he’s a full of trickster and mischievous young boy that displays childish and playful demeanor, he refer calling people names with siblings honorifics(bro and sis [name]) instead of referring them with polite or suffix honorifics. He enjoy putting tricks on people’s sleeves and is quite very immature for his age.

Remix does not learned anything about “borrowing” and permission, which is why he always stealing other people items and this became part of his habit.

During in Reapers’ Game. He learned his lesson but continue to steal because of his habit. Deep down, he has depression when he learned his lesson, he wanted to stop until the very end. He gets ill-tempered whenever his personal information/secrets were revealed. When he gets serious and tempered, his childish traits stop and switching his pronouns(“boku” to “ore”) until he calm down. He fears to be alone(Monophobia) and can’t hide the type of expression of fearness.

In NEO: The World Ends With You, Remix returns to be honest boy and has matured considerably, becoming more calm and warm towards others. Although he still retains some of his childish traits and likes to joke around with people, and still calling other people with bro/sis. He stop being mysterious boy and became honest boy, he tends to joke that he “steal” people hats, in reality, his habit of stealing stop.

Backstory

[ TW: Suicide, death

Remix parents had a divorce and live with his mother at home because of the father’s decision. His mother was too desperate to raise him after the divorce. Remix wanted to spend time with her, but he lacks of understanding the emotional emotion of his mother expression. Since she never raise her son, he never help her and never understand his own mother feelings. He only get to spend time in his school. He was nicknamed by “Remix” by his old friend because of Remix musical talent. Until their friendship were torn down due Remix was expelled from school for keep stealing supplies and his old friends stuff. He did this because he never learned something about borrowing and being mature, which it retains him to be very immature boy. Remix did not attend to another school, he gets press charges many times by stealing other people’s hats and bags. He was very known as a “Young thief”.

his mother began to feel even more depressed and she’s very disappointment at her son when she keep getting the negative feedback because of him. She has give up on her family, she decided to ended her life. Remix was dismay looking at his mother dead on the ceiling, this made him understand what he has done and what his family been through. he ran away from home and try to find people with bags and phones to help his mother. When he found one, he stole the bags and phone but than he suddenly died from being shot by someone in the middle of the crowd.

to enter the reapers' game, he rid of his honesty and cheerful personality for his entry fee and became trickster dishonest boy in reapers’ game. Since he lost his life In the Reapers’ game, he met a girl who made a pact with him by the name of Aoi. Since Remix and Aoi are partners, Remix refuses to talk about himself and his past, including his name.

Reborn

When he come back to life from Reapers’ Game, he goes to high school and doesn’t steal anymore. Since he learned his lesson after Reapers’ Game, he’s learning how to be mature.

Partneraoi susuki

Aoi was Remix second partner since her first partner became her entry fee. Since Aoi and Remix were partners, Remix does not want to share information about himself and his past. Aoi respect his decision and tries get along with him. They spend each time together, Aoi became overprotective of him and prevents him stealing other people stuff(even Neku’s headphones). She lends him her hats so that he won’t steal again.

NEku sakuraba RIval

Neku finds Remix annoying because of Remix’s behavior and attempting to steal his headphones. Neku did not like him and calls him a stealer and a eye freak, Remix gets irritates and tries to annoy him more.

RIval(?)  Joshua

When he first met Neku and Joshua, Remix saw Joshua holding his phone which makes him try to steal his phone too and this stops by Remix’s partner Aoi. Joshua thinks of Remix a troublesome child to take care of and have someone to partner with, and he’s aware of Remix’s habits.
