  • Her previous owner didn't actually call her Hysteria, that was more a nickname given to her during the time she worked in the hospital but that is now the name she goes by
Abilities
Seeing Ghosts/ Spirits
Due to her insanity she develops the ability to see and communicate with ghosts and spirits.

Acute Sixth Sense
When she used to work as a guard dog she was trained to identify the aggressive and threatening patients. This training leaves her with the ability to sense a creatures state of mind and determine if they're dangerous or not.
History

Hysteria was bred to be a service dog but it isn't determined what discipline she was going to be in until she reaches a couple months old. She's a very brave and outgoing pup who also was not afraid to defend smaller pups from being bullied, with those traits she starts her training as a guard dog. When she gets older she gets her tattooed ear as she excels in her training. With basic training complete she is given to her handler to specialise her in the guard dog job she had been allocated. Her handler works at the Mental Hospital on the outskirts of town so she is taken there to carry on her training. Instantly she takes to the job, she learns the building layout, who is there and what grounds were hers to protect. All of the patients end up being quite fond of her as she's gentle with them and let's them stroke her. However, she becomes insanely devoted to her handler and bonds with him really closely.

The first few years go really well, Hysteria is also trained to determine how dangerous a new patient is on arrival to decide where they should be kept. She loves doing this and is nearly always completely accurate with her determinings. However, one day she is patrolling the corridors when she hears a commotion. She runs into the room where it's happening and sees her handler being attacked by one of the patients. Without any hesitation or second through she ran to his defence and leapt on top of the patient pinning him down to the bed. Just like she had been trained with an aggressive intruder she bit down on the patient's throat. It wasn't until afterwards that she realised what she had done. Her handler angrily grabbed her collar and tossed her to the floor. After a few seconds it was determined the aggressive patient had died and all the others who were inside that room as well began to scream at Hysteria. Frantically and scared she looked around, she went to her handler who backed away from her. Shortly someone came up behind Hysteria and put a very tight basket muzzle around her face, once it was secure her handler grabbed her collar and began to drag her out of the room. With very little resistance Hysteria followed him, he lead her down to the basement. When they got down there he walked her over to a wall before ordering her to ‘wait’ then he chain both of her back legs to the wall with shackles. As he was leaving he turned to her and growled, “you're a bad dog” and then he left her.

She was only visited on very rare occasions and the isolation started to make her go crazy. As everyone was leaving the hospital her handler came back down one last time to see her. Hysteria wagged her tail at him, but expressionless he grabbed her but her collar and held her up so she was standing on her hind legs. She wasn't sure what he was doing but swiftly he brought out a sharp knife and dragged it firmly across her neck before dropping her to the ground. He cut her chains but left the shackles around her legs before leaving her down there to die. When she came to and realised she wasn't dead she managed to get out of the basement and only then she realised that the entire place had been abandoned.Angry at her owners betrayal but also unsure with what to do now, she decided that she would continue her duties and protect the hospital.

Slowly the hospital began to rot and fall into disrepair but she stayed in it protecting it from anyone who tried to break in. In this time alone her insanity really starts to manifest itself and ingrain into her mind, and she becomes very aggressive and violent towards anyone and anything.
