Barrett is cautious and a little mistrusting. He felt his mother’s death was suspicious and has become a little paranoid as he’s grown. Still that doesn’t seem to stop his lax personality. Where his mother was rules, regulations, and tradition Barrett is more of… the rule of cool. He doesn’t particularly care about tradition and would likely just do away with the Knight system if it wasn’t for the expectation and pressure of the Village and Clans. He’s a bit lazy and doesn’t tend to focus much, preferring to spend much more of his time exploring and caring for the eggs and babies in the Corviknight rookery. Still… he does what is expected of his position (even if sometimes it's the bare minimum.)
HISTORY
Barrett was born a little over a month after the Black Knight arrived in Armonia. He grew up surrounded by Knights and Pokemon and grew incredibly fond of Corviknight, often sneaking away to sleep in the nests with the Rookidee. His mother tried her best to guide him and teach him proper rules and expectations, but he wasn’t that interested.
When Barrett was 25 his mother unexpectedly died. She was strong, careful, and relatively healthy despite lingering wounds from past Pokemon battles. He grew much more cautious, and even accused other Knights of killing her in order to force him into the role. With time he’s accepted his position, even if it wasn’t particularly graceful… With the help from advisers and scholars in the Corviknight Castle he tries his best to lead in his mother’s footsteps, but like… from a sitting position.
