He's a science experiment turned scientist, but he turned out a lot smarter than the people who created him, so he escaped and got justice. Now he's the boss of his own research lab. He's happy to do field work, but leaves the boring paperwork stuff to his co-workers, much to their disatisfaction.
He named himself Prosciutto because he likes the sound of it. He may be highly intelligent but he isn't the best with common sense. He can be goofy and weird but he can also be a bit haughty because he doesn't quite have the social skills yet, and he thinks a very very highly of himself.
