About
Adventurer for hire, experienced pirate. Compassionate when called upon and determined to the last, she’s got the mind of a self sure warrior. Yet, while her lips are often curled in an easy smirk, the glint in her eyes suggests something lurks beneath the surface…
At the moment, Irene's primary goal is aetherial research and restoring her family name. Being born to a small noble house, she was raised to respect tradition. That said, her family is somewhat unique, since their position as a minor house allows them a certain level of independence, thus allowing her a degree of individuality and freedom. After their exile, this fact is only exacerbated.
Working as an adventurer for hire, Irene is well travelled and charismatic, often utilizing her charm to get her way if initial negotiations fail. Since she spent a number of years crewing aboard a pirate ship, she's familiar with handling all different kinds of folk. Despite that, however, she maintains her own principals and stays true to her upbringing, helping others when she's able.

Abridged History
Irene was born under a different name as the second child in a minor Ishgardian house. Following the tumultous events of the Seventh Umbral Calamity — further exacerbated by a personal loss and resulted in the excommunication of their family from the Holy See — Irene departed Ishgard to seek her own path as an adventurer, with the underlying goal of one day returning home and restoring her house's honour.

Relationships
Adrioux of Argenfort
Older brother, heir to House Argenfort. Remained in Ishgard after Eireline’s departure in order to lead the house, but was her constant companion in the time before the Calamity. Often, the two would travel with their parents.
Lord Anastius of Argenfort
Father, renowned aetherial scholar aside from his lordship. Studied the potential for aether-imbued weapons and armour in conjunction with Argenfort’s renowned blacksmiths, originally to help the Holy See in the Dragonsong war. Perished during Garuda’s Calamity-era rise when he employed the Flow to carry Eireline from the collapsing battlefield. His willing sacrifice endeared him to Hydaelyn, granting his daughter (relatively) safe passage through the aetherial sea.
Lady Morgane of Argenfort
Mother, formerly of house Dzemael. Once Anastius inherited the lordship, she was the one to travel in his stead. Her work in aetherology is well respected, both by the Observatorium and other schools.
