General battle tactics is to begin attacking from afar
Stockpiling before engaging then using Magnitude
When face to face with opponents he will typically use Yawn, forcing the opponent into slumber before unleashing hot magma from his body with Lava Plume
Though also if surrounded will opt for Lava Plume as well to disperse large groups of enemies

Sinew is a lone explorer, poor at team work and subtlety competitive. Though more so in a good spirited way, used as a means to push himself further and beyond. He is easy enough to get along with on a surface level due to his lack of want for needless confrontation. This passiveness can often have him be left to be taken advantage of. Although once he reaches a boiling point he can have violent eruptions of behavior (both literally and metaphorically).
Additionally Sinew has a hidden cruel nature about him taking great pleasure in taking out swathes of Pokemon in battle when confrontation is unavoidable, playing off his success with a strong air of humility. He keeps this part of himself in check the best he can, hence the adverseness he has to pointless combat.
Rarely does he speak of himself above others despite being somewhat of a prodigy amongst the exploration scene. In fact he scarcely speaks to anyone at all...
