Messier cannot remember a time before he was a reaper. Any information related to who he was prior is irrelevant to him. After being a reaper for so long, anything from his past life wouldn't matter anyways. He takes his job of reaping quite seriously, having a more sophisticated approach compared to others. He often tries to whisk the victim away through compassion and understanding. He always assures those he reaps that it is not the end - but a new beginning. Messier is quite a well established black hole vesper and has reaped many vespers to their new life.
