Kendesai's history and very existence has been shaped by a couple groups over the course of its life.

The Six Divine Shards, and The Second
The main creators of Kendesai, the six divine shards are the six gods that Kendans and dragons both worship and revere. Mezalmeron, The Second Lifeform, is likewise a creature known to be the source of death and conflict. The six, as their full pantheon's designation implies, are parts of a larger being whose name was lost to time, and the creator of the universe as it is known. After wishing to create more life, Mezalmeron felt betrayed, and fought His sibling, tearing them asunder into seven pieces. Six pieces reshaped themselves into scared, initially feral creatures that proceeded to drain Mezalmeron's soul of its energy, causing it to fall to the void, where He lay trapped to this day.

After gaining a sense of composure, the seventh,  seemingly inert fragment interconnected the minds of the others, and imparted on them all the knowledge of their progenitor. Embodying aspects of The One's personality and power, the Six sought to continue the creator's work with this newfound knowledge in the hopes of being able to permanently subdue Mezalmeron should He rise again.

Gaianyx, the Stoneshaper, gave her scales in the process of creating mountains and valleys, distributing emeralds across the world. She is also the source of dragons, who helped shape the world and guard its lifeforms. She acts as the current avatar of the gods will on Kendesai, resting within the mountains she helped create to offer insight to the Kendan species.
Magmox, the Flamesmith, gave his body, his physical form creating the core of the planet and the molten land surrounding it. Fragments of his bones and horns would become known as rubies. His eternal soul guards the gates of Heaven, burning all who would invade it to cinders, while welcoming those who are meant to be there with open arms and a warm smile.
Aquatisk, the Tidecaller, gave his wings, the blood spilling from the wounds forming the water that cooled the outer shell into stone and dirt. The scales from his wings would be known as sapphires.
Aeroceph, the Windsinger, gave her voice, allowing it to drift freely around the planet to form it’s winds. The fragments of her beak became diamonds. She and Aquatisk work together to help formulate various plans and lifeforms, although they are ironically somewhat ignorant of the needs of mortals.
Kitumbron, the Voidwalker, gave his eyes to allow their future creations to see the true beauty of the stars. His eyes would become the two Great Amethysts, one of which was shattered and distributed across the planet, and the other being the centerpiece to the city of Umbros to help those within curb their Arcane Vampirism. Kitumbron himself helps manage the webways of the collective unconscious, watching over the dream realm and ensuring nothing bleeds in.
And Luxus, the Lightkeeper, gave a large portion of her power to create the sun. The tears she silently shed from the pain were later known as opals. Due to her reduced power, she was initially the voice of the gods before Gaianyx, as she could safely appear before mortals. However, she had used every ounce of life she had to detonate a demonic portal that threatened to overtake Kendesai. Her soul is now a prisoner of Mezalmeron, and the highest priority for release should a chance arise to rescue her.

The Demigods
A small, fledging faction of the pantheon. The Demigods are people whose powers are on par with that of gods, although they lack the connection the gods have to one another. Their domains tend to be more metaphysical, revolving around concepts more than elements. Most Demigods do work closely with the Six Divines, and were in fact created or uplifted by them, but some bear the moniker for clarification's sake.

Sharr, the Shepherd of the Lost, is the demigod of judgement. They act as a guide and protector of the dead, allowing them passage into the afterlife and in some cases intervening to prevent pointless death altogether. Their power comes from a brief interaction with Mezalmeron that left them psychologically scarred, but not under His thrall.
Solkeras, the Jailer, is the demigod of justice. He presides over those Sharr deems guilty of unrepentant sin, and offers them one final chance to learn from their mistakes before their reincarnation. The damned are forced to view their life until they either accept their flaws, or reveal their perceived infallability. Humility allows them freedom, while hubris will be further punished.
Mezmerane, the Cleric of Discord, is the demigod of chaos. Originally an alternate identity within a young man, he was corrupted and used to commit a great atrocity before becoming Mezalmeron's primary avatar on Kendesai. He possesses unknown spacial magics that allow his body to deflect harm despite physical contact with a weapon, and do untold harm despite a lack of contact.
Miraluna, the Heartmender, was once the demigod of Order before being promoted to full godhood. Formerly an assistant of Sharr, the crisis of Mezalmeron's return meant that she was to be given a link to the rest of the gods to help strategize, as well as the power to directly affect the emotions of mortals in order to offer clarity of mind and help with emotional problems in the short term.
Hush, the Child of Balance, is the demigod of secrets. Born of the soul energies of MIraluna and her husband Armerane, Hush is the first demigod to have never been mortal previously. The mixture of chaos and order within their body allows them to read the minds of those around them and learn anything that they have intentionally hidden from others without fail. That's rude though, so they don't do it much.
