Profile

Appearance
Calcifer is a relatively tall Foxerfly. He is well-muscled from forging blades and doing his signature performances. He has a lot of scars scattered throughout his body from his years of street fighting, hidden by his fluffy fur. He has no piercings save his signature black lip ring on the left side of his bottom lip. When wearing clothing, Calcifer sports lots of greys, blacks, dark blues, and reds. He loves trench coats, fingerless gloves, and scarves. He owns a black Harley motorcycle, which he prefers over most cars. He also has a beat-up black 1969 Dodge Charger.

Occupation
Bartender, blacksmith, singer/songwriter, and performer.

Personality
Calcifer is a kind, flirtatious, and joking Foxerfly, though he has quite the fiery temper. He is very gentle and patient when preforming, whether it be playing the guitar and singing, or "eating" flaming knives. He enjoys writing songs, or just singing covers of songs. He has a hard time thinking about his parents, although he has less difficulty accepting his father's disappearance than he did before. He is absolutely terrified of clowns, but would never admit this.
He doesn't like coffee that much unless its got a bunch of milk and sugar in it. He does like tea, however; his favourite being gunpowder. He also loves going to parties. If he lived somewhere larger than his one-bedroom apartment, he would love to throw some parties as well. He pretends to hate winter holiday music, though secretly likes it. He also loves animated movies but wouldn't admit to this. In his free time, Calcifer enjoys practicing guitar and traditional fire dances. He smokes clove cigarettes and has taken to doing more frequently after his divorce.

Talent
The use of weapons involving fire. His weapons of choice are knives, which he both forges himself and performs with. His signature act is "eating" flaming knives.

History
As a kit, Calcifer was quiet, sweet, and kind, up until his father disappeared. He refused to believe that his father had abandoned him, no matter what he was told. He turned bitter, angry, and thirsty for retribution. In his mind, his father was "stolen". To make up for his father being "stolen" from him, he began to steal from other Foxers. Just little things, from Foxers he thought deserved it. He believed he was doing what Robin Hood did; stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, or in this case, himself. This caused him to get into a lot of bad situations, in which his explosive temper didn't help. This continued into his teen years. As an adolescent, Calcifer was hot-headed, naive, and impulsive. He had a tendency to say whatever popped into his head, and to talk back to everyone. This habit got him into a lot of trouble, especially when street fighting. By this time, Calcifer had turned to street fighting instead of petty theft. Unfortunately, he was a small, scrawny teenager, and rarely won, offering up money he didn't have. Instead of facing his problems, he ran away from them.
Later in his teenage years, Calcifer realized that he wasn't helping anyone by being a street fighter, although he loved it. He used what little money he had left to attend some college courses about science. He wanted to see if he could be a doctor, but he didn't enjoy it. Nonetheless, he ended up working at a hospital as an orderly. Calcifer was worried that he'd never find a Talent, until one fateful day when a group of performers came to the hospital where he was working to cheer up some of the patients. Seeing the joy brought out by the music in the patients' faces, Calcifer dropped out of college and joined the performance group. he quickly discovered that his Talent lay in the fiery performance that brought smiles to every face.
Years later, the troupe returned to the hospital he used to work at. There, he met the most beautiful Foxer he'd ever seen. She was in hospice with a rare terminal disease, but he couldn't help falling in love with her. She was so full of warmth, and calm serenity exuded from her every word. She was never angry, and never feared dying. She was older and already had her charm and Talent. She had been a glassblower, her Talent being that she made delicately intricate glass pieces. He was angry in her place, but knew that eventually he would have to let her go. They hadn't known each other for very long, but time doesn't matter, until there's not much left. On her last day, she gave him a gift: a small hand-blown glass flame. It danced in the light as if real fire burned within it. It was the last time he ever saw her, but he never forgot her and wears her gift by his heart as his charm.
After she had passed, Calcifer thought that he would never love again. He didn't lose his flirtatious nature, though developed a fear of commitment. He didn't want to risk losing anyone again. But that was before he met Dixie. As their friendship grew, his feelings for her grew as well. After years of dating and eventually moving in together, they got married. And then came the kits. Hestia was a challenge from the start, inheriting her father's hot temper and impulsive attitude. Static was easier and more reasonable, though a handful all on his own. As the kids got older, Dixie started to change. She became irrationally fearful of both her children and of Calcifer, and the two started to argue more and more frequently. It got so bad that Hestia actually left and cut her family out of her life. Eventually, Calcifer became sick of putting up with her paranoia and instead of getting her help, he did what he does best - he ran away. He is currently living in a one-bedroom apartment above a bar, where he works as a bartender and occasionally the entertainment. By this point, he has payed off all of his street fighting debts so he can move on with his life.
