Hestia

Appearance
Hestia is of average height with a wiry build. She's got various scars from getting in fights when she was younger, but her most noticeable scar is on her right paw when she nearly sliced a finger off fixing a dagger once. Hess typically wears darker and muted colours. She is barely ever seen wearing skirts or dresses, and much prefers jeans and leather to anything else. She has a jean jacket with a Halestorm album cover painted on the back, left over from her teen years. She also ports a pair of old, beat-up combat boots. Hess is never without at least one weapon on her person, typically thrust through a belt-loop of her jeans or stashed inside one or both boots.

Personality
Hestia may seem cold-hearted and distant, but beneath her icy disposition she can be deeply caring and loyal. She is typically focused, witty, and sarcastic. It's difficult for her to trust anyone, and she tends to holds grudges. She plays electric guitar and loves it, though she also has an acoustic. She has an alto-tenor singing voice but doesn't like to sing for anyone. Hestia loves thunderstorms; she finds the rain against her metal roof soothing and the lightning entertaining. She likes her coffee as dark as possible. She acts as if she hates physical contact, but in reality, she secretly likes it. She also has a hidden affinity for poetry. She can come off as grumpy and pessimistic a lot of the time. Hestia has a deep fear of vulnerability and abandonment; leading her to push people away or even cut people out of her life entirely.

History
As a kit, Hestia was hot-headed, energetic, and very impulsive. She was a bit of a loner, though was very loyal when she made friends. She hated authority figures and didn't like being told what to do by anyone. She loved fighting, though she was skinny and not all that muscular yet. Hestia's fighting style was more defensive than anything; she could dodge easily and had good reflexes. She had a tendency to say whatever popped into her head without thinking it through. She enjoyed helping her dad forge knives (used for his flaming-knife-eating shows) and looked up to him lovingly. Calcifer started teaching her to play guitar at a young age, just as his mother did for him. When she reached adolescence, Hestia's temper and impulsive behavior only increased. She became extremely rebellious; often defying her parents on purpose. She took to doing street art with the tag Vesta. She was still a bit of a loner, and didn't trust others easily after being stabbed in the back one too many times by people she thought were good friends. She still detested authority figures, or anyone who tried to tell her what to do, and was angered very easily. Hestia still loved to play guitar, and preferred her electric over her acoustic. She enjoyed forging weapons and started carrying many of them on her person. After high school, Hess gave up on her rebellious street art; realizing that it would never get her anywhere in life. She didn't go to college as her mother wanted. Instead, Hestia cut her family out of her life and moved to the countryside, working her own forge.
