Kalea

Appearance
Kalea is short and a little bit chubby. In the summer, she wears sarongs and sundresses, typically with accessories made of flowers. In spring and autumn, she sports lots of sweaters. In the winter, she bundles up with as many layers as possible, often wearing multiple pairs of socks at once.

Occupation
Freelance artist, musician, and barista. In the warmer months she can be found working at a Tiki bar on the boardwalk called The Freaky Tiki; she doesn't make much money as a stand-alone artist. During the winter, the Tiki bar is closed, so she works at a coffee shop called Java Jive.

Personality
Kalea is an adventurous, slightly optimistic extrovert. She loves to be outside, though particularly enjoys the beach scene. At the beach, Kalea enjoys swimming, surfing - though she isn't super great at this - beachcombing, making jewelry out of various seashore materials, and building elaborate sand castles. Kalea loves warm weather; summer is her favourite season. Despite her amount of extra fluff, she dislikes winter and gets cold very easily.
Some of Kalea's favourite hobbies off of the beach include reading, trying new things, doing any form of art, singing, brewing coffee, making smoothies, and cooking.
She enjoys the company of other Foxers, though tends to be a little socially awkward. Kalea is a Foxer who needs to be doing something with her paws at all times, and often chews the insides of her cheeks. As far as food goes, Kalea enjoys spicy foods, smoothies, popsicles, fruits, and more. She loves to drink mocha lattes and hot chocolate, particularly with an Aztec flare. She absolutely adores chocolate, especially when paired with spices. Kalea plays the ukulele, and is pretty good at it. She has a mezzo singing voice, and can hit notes in both the soprano and alto ranges. She is a bit insecure about her voice, though she loves to sing. She enjoys playing her ukulele and often does so to gain extra cash. She suffers from a variety of phobias, including the fear of needles, thunder, being alone, and losing control of her magic and emotions. She doesn't like to burden others with her fears, however; she always puts them first even when it is detrimental to herself.

Magic
Kalea has the ability to use magic, but hardly does so. Her magic is explosive fire magic and she's honestly afraid of her own power. She also suffers from anxiety based around her magic, which wars with her desire to be around others. Her magic reacts to her emotions in occasionally unpredictable ways, so she takes great care not to become overly excited or angry. The magic flowing around her eyes tends to give off little sparks when she's getting too emotional. If Kalea's emotions get out of control, so does her magic; creating fires and explosions.

Talent
Making art out of natural resources. This includes flowers, berries, fruits, even coffee grounds. She has been known to make her own paints, using egg yolk as a binding agent and various natural items for colour.

Pets
A rescued fruit bat named Rubus who often tries to eat her work. She found him injured and alone when he was young; before she moved to the city. He cannot be released into the wild; as he is blind.
