An OC I made for Hunter × Hunter. Anowry, their home country, was annexed by a more powerful nation five years before the current timeline. Nova was the child of activists who were unjustly jailed by the regime for inciting "thoughts of treachery". Nova, an eloquent child who shared their parents' values, was propped up by the independence fighters as their nation's symbol of hope. Nova took on the role despite their reservations, eventually earning a seat in the World Assembly. However, an assassination plot was uncovered days before they were set to appear on the world stage. Nova was hastily sent away, ordered to stay put in a luxury cruise ship. It was already too late when they realized that the ship was not made for your typical cruise along the continent's coast, but was headed towards the Dark Continent.
