nijinu (niji for short) are cute, innocent creatures who like to explore & create :D they like being near water & they're related to otters, axolotls & shiba inus. there are many types & they have their own islands! they love nature & aren’t too fond of humans; except for urban nijinu, which live near humans & cities.
they have a lot of their own culture - holidays, traditions & language! ^_^

name origin: niji 虹(rainbow) & inu 犬(dog) (an ancient man named them that cuz he thought they are jus colorful dogs fr)
