"SHE HAS A BEARD, EVERYTHING ELSE IS IRRELEVANT."
Profile
Appearance: Obviously, Beatrice's beard is the most distinguishable feature about her. It not only covers her mouth and chin, but even creates sideburns that are just as thick as a man's, and connect to her hair on her head. She usually puts her natural hair up in a bun, but sometimes lets it down, in which case it is about shoulder length. When she is doing her shows, she often will dress up in a dress that is very pretty and seems to have become her trade mark, as it is much lighter than her beard. When not 'on display' she wears much more casual clothing, which sometimes consists of pants and a shirt, which she doesn't mind as she'd hate for her dress to get dirty, anyways.
Personality: Kind, Gentle, and Curious. She seems fairly weak to outsiders, and quiet. However, to those who know and speak to her they soon find she is something of a rebel, and opposes most authority figures (within reason, not mindlessly). She is very sympathetic to the inmates, and always will try to talk to them if she has time.
History: Beatrice was born with a rare disorder that made her facial hair grow in much more fuller, and faster than a normal female's. She was in a sense, raised and brought up as a freak within a traveling freak show, simply because her parents did not wish to deal with a child such as her.
Beatrice grew up normally; learning to read and write in a few scattered languages and easily learning various things about different places, along with stories being told to her by other freaks. When she turned 27, she met a young Contortionist, who went by the stage name of; 'The Snake Man'. Beatrice became good friends with him, and over time the relationship matured until they were married when Beatrice turned thirty.
Not long after, she was to give birth to a child, and so she and her husband moved to the Carnival of Rust so that they were not always moving about within the traveling freak show. Not long before the baby was to be born, however, than did Beatrice's husband winde up dead; it was not understood how exactly he had died even after his body had been examined. Some doctors said he had snapped his spine in doing a stunt he was not able to do, yet others said he was killed out of a jealous rage. The charges were never filed, and Beatrice was never deemed a suspect. Life moved on until the day she gave birth to the baby.
Obviously, Beatrice was cut up but her husband's death, but she would easily be able to support the child with the other members of the carnival. That was until she was informed of a discouraging characteristic in her baby's behavior. It was a healthy boy, but seemed to have signs of having some sort of mental impairment. Beatrice insisted on taking care of her son on her own, in spite of his impairment, and took care of him until he turned three. She soon found that it became harder and harder to take care and protect him from the simple dangers of life at a Carnival, and with tears in her eyes gave him up to the Asylum.
By her son's fourth birthday, Beatrice had received news that he had passed on some months before from complications due to the illness. Ever regretting taking him to the Asylum, Beatrice believed that the Asylum had been the reason for her son's death, and even though she called her husband's death a tragic accident, nothing could make her believe the same with her son.
