He's a straw hat wearing, vagabond bard with a heart of gold and a bad case of the Mondays--as in he's an amnesiac. He woke up in the middle of a burnt out forest with nothing but his name, his bag and a torched corpse next to him before he hightailed into the unknown. He traveled alone for three days before bumping into a half dwarf named Bartholamew Poppinstafolus. They quickly became best friends, and before long (like maybe two hours) they brought a gourd, Gurdy, to life and became dads. 

After spending a few months with Barth and his parents, Kef decided he had to continue traveling in order to provide money for Gurdy and set off once more. He sent letters whenever he could with money enclosed and went back home to her when he could manage.

One day, at the age of nineteen, he found himself in a tavern, rallied up by Jolene Fleetwood, a bard of eloquence and warlock of Titania. She took him under her wing and together they found a group of adventurers to travel with. Little did they know, they would soon come to save the world.

After saving the world from the Lich and her evil plans, Kef retired from adventuring and finally got married to his wife, Vashti Murin. Originally, they settled in Castella and bought a tavern, though after a final adventure that started in New Dwarvington, they decided to continue on the road, a constant tour of the land. Kef's popularity only grew because of this constant performance. Well renowned
