dusk is the leader of a rogue group on the outskirts of the city and forest. his group acts as an assassination/spy service for the rival rogue groups, getting paid with food, medicine, and supplies ("hitmen for hire").
-he was the first born of a litter of three, technically being the oldest. he is very protective of his younger sibling dawn.
-his father (the previous leader of the group) abused both of them as well as anyone else he considered weak or lesser than him.
-tired of the abuse and neglect, dawn and dusk decide to confront their father, but discover he killed their best friend moments upon finding him. they team up and eventually overpower him, but are heavily damaged, their father having taken an eye from each of them before being killed.
-dusk now suffers from ptsd from the attack and can no longer look at or even acknowledge the scar his father gave him. he soon finds and befriends a sphinx named allen, who repays him for his hospitality by making him a mask to cover his scar.
