Summary
A massive nerd and Seattle native, Rwolo grew up in the Emerald City alongside his little brother. Sharing with Ori his love of anime, gaming, and Vocaloid, these interests shaped his brother's path in life, and Rwolo couldn't be happier to support him in his endeavors - Eventually even pursuing a career graphic design in part to help his brother with his own career by designing everything from thumbnails for the videos of his new songs to Ori's own website.
It was at Seattle Pride during his first year of college that he met Dold, a Vaiki who'd come to the area to pursue his own career in programming. Recognizing his shirt as one from a game he loved, he complimented Dold's taste, and the two quickly hit it off, and soon they were hanging out regularly. These hangout sessions quickly turned into something more, and after the two graduated, they moved just outside the city, into a house they and Dold's older brother built and designed together.
When not working or spending time with his boyfriend, Rwolo can often be found doing stuff around the house, be it tending to his succulents or meticulously cleaning and organizing the pair's things.
Trivia
- The w in Rwolo's name is silent, and the bane of his existence as it causes most everyone to mispronounce or misspell his name (It's pronounced roll-oh, like the Rolo candy).
- Ori has nicknamed Rwolo d4, in reference to their similarly small stature (d4s having the least sides of most commonly produced the polyhedral dice) and the pronunciation of his name sounding like "roll".
- Rwolo enjoys a wide variety of games, from sims like Animal Crossing to old-school adventure and platforming games to RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. The retro games in particular influenced Ori's love of chiptune music, which he now produces in a band.
- Rwolo doesn't actually need glasses, and indeed, the ones he wears don't even have lenses; he just likes to wear empty frames because he thinks he looks smarter with glasses.
- Rwolo is allergic to cats.
- Despite being enjoying and being good at cleaning and most other household stuff, one thing just doesn't come naturally to Rwolo: cooking. Poor dude can't follow a recipe to save his life, and he can barely make toast without it burning to charcoal. He likes baking Dold's unfinished cookie dough, however.
