Solaris

Solaris is a harpy whose home was torn apart by years of war and chaos after the rise of Stiltak the necromancer. They have selective mutism and their voice is quiet and hoarse from disuse, and so they usually communicate through sign language or writing. Their body is covered in scars, most notably terrible burns on their face and neck, which cause them chronic pain. Solaris is the motherly sort and very protective of those around them, even if they aren’t exactly a skilled combatant. They have a staff that they use both for magic and as a cane, as they have difficulty walking due to their injuries.

Solaris refuses to share their surname, and it takes a lot of prompting for them to share even their given name. The exact reason they are keeping their name such a secret is unclear, but they are content to remain anonymous for the most part.

Solaris is a skilled and powerful Water mage blessed by the spirit Famius, with a focus on healing magic. They have traveled Vakkaven for many years offering their healing services to those in need, trying to help rebuild a world shattered by Stiltak. They can even relieve symptoms of mental illness, though they cannot heal them completely. Though they are undeniably a powerful mage, Solaris does not believe in spirits or the gods.
