Dax is an escapee, a lone wolf, however he becomes friends with a weasel (weasel name is Lera (Leer-uh) and a bird (bird is named Sev) 

He trusts no one, and has troubles trusting his new-found friends, he seems to think everyone around him is ready to put him back from where he escaped from
