Trivia

• Calvin is very emotionally repressed, but they still feel a lot of love for their friends. They just express that love in ways that aren't smiling, laughing, or physical affection.
• Calvin does not like being touched, especially without warning. Between their gills and their very sensitive leaves, most physical contact is immediately overstimulating for them. If Calvin really likes someone, though, they are willing to open up and work with them.
• A lot of Calvin's angst comes from growing up in the ocean and watching their home die in real time, and studying environmental science - while rewarding - has done little to quell Calvin's feelings of impending doom. After a childhood of fearing that they might die at any minute, Calvin has learned to repress those feelings as a coping mechanism.
• Calvin doesn't use social media, so it can be hard to get ahold of them if you don't know how to reach them.

Design Notes

• Everything about Calvin is lithe; they are very lean and small.
• They don't have a set number of stripes - just fill in as many as you need on their muzzle, forearms, legs, and tail.
• They have a small green dorsal fin (it's just hard to see from most angles).
• Even around friends, they almost never smile. When they do it's very soft, and they have a cute laugh to match. Don't point it out to them, though, or they'll hide it away again.
