Appearance:
Amaris is 3'6" with a slim and curvaceous build. She has a dark violet fur along her head and it travels down her back in an upside down triangular motion, ending at her tail. Her skin is tinted gray and very pale. It's cold to the touch due to no blood. She also has no heartbeat, and true to her vampire nature as a fun fact, she has no reflection!

Her eyes are crimson and always glow. They are weak when her energy is low, and glow brightly when filled with vigour!

Other:
-She cannot die of lack of sustenance. She just becomes very weak, and unable to focus on anything but blood and satiating her thirst. There are ways to kill a vampire though, naturally!
-Instead of blood, Amaris has this thick, black, tar-like substance in her veins. It's toxic in large amounts if consumed by non-vampires, and it is a vital part of the turning process. To vampires, it just tastes awful, and not recommended. It's rumoured that certain supernatural types of people think it tastes quite delicious though, like candied rose petals.


Personality traits

Likes:
- Type O Negative Blood! It's her favourite snack!
- The violin and the harpsichord! She has become skilled in both. Harsichord moreso than violin.
- Antique furniture from the victorian era; reminds her of the era in which she was living before shut away. This modern world, while she adjusted, just lacks class she thinks!
-Warmth! Due to being very cold, Amaris loves being warm. NOT from the sun, however.

Dislikes:
- Daylight, more on that later!
- Silence, she hates being alone with her thoughts.
- Food! While it fascinates her, most of the time it makes her very sick. Her system is just not made for processing it, nor does it do anything for her.
- Deep bodies of water! Amaris cannot swim! She can float, but she has never learned to swim. Besides, she hates being unable to tell whatever that was that touched her foot!


Personality:
Amaris is a very cold bat, and she is even more cold towards mortals. She looks down on those who lack immortality. She values those who have power, and flaunt it well. She is focused on status centrally, and refuses to ever be seen as weak.
However, to those she deems worthy, she is very polite and can show kindness once she sees you as an equal or greater. If she deems you unworthy, she'll treat you like dirt and talk down to you. To her, you're worse than the mud on her boots. She will appear very serious, and will kill without batting an eye. Death means nothing to her, usually.

Underneath the cold skin, and cold exterior is an intense woman who feels things very strongly. She has a passion for wit, and music. She loves the finer things in life, except for most technology.
She is a deep romantic, and is very girlish at heart.

Combat traits

Powers:
Tracking - Once Amaris has tasted your blood or formed a blood bond, if you're within a five mile radius, she has the option to track you down again. It does get very overwhelming if there's too many 'scents' going on if she's tasted too many peoples' blood and they all are in the same area, she will the confuse them all.
Turning - She has the ability to turn others into vampires if she so chooses. It's a lengthy process and cannot be undone
Blood Bind - If for whatever reason she can manipulate you into this, she has the ability to read your mind. And depending on how weak the mind, invade thoughts persistently and gains some influence as to your actions (not complete control however, she's not that powerful) The amount is determined by the will of the victim. However, you gain a small portion of her power in return.

Strengths:
- Flight, naturally! Amaris' wings are one of her strongest features, next to her jaw strength. Following are her legs, then arms. She is not one for hand-to-hand combat without using a power of hers as an advantage; and that rarely seems to be in her favour.
- Night Vision. Due to not being one for daylight, her vision in the night is far better. And what she cannot see, she'll attempt to detect with echolocation.
- Staying Alive! This is a weird strength to list, but without the know-how it's pretty hard to kill this vampire! You cannot 'starve' her (although it really helps if you're trying to kill her; it'll weaken her severely), nor can you just shoot her or anything of the like! I won't expose the methods to killing her however, you can do some research on how to dispose of a vampire. (;

Weaknesses:
- Garlic, naturally! Not just a fable in her case. The smell of it can really ruin her focus, making it hard to use any abilities. If consumed, it renders her weak and depending on the amount it can even make her unable to move and leave her bedridden.
- Daylight! Not only does being in the sun weaken her, and burn her skin, just it being day makes her weak and any attempted use of ability will more than likely fail without persistence and truly using everything she's got! Even if indoors. That damn giant orb in the sky ruining everything for her!
- Chaos Emeralds. It's really unknown as to what causes it, but around Chaos Emeralds, Amaris gets strong migraines and her vision begins to fade. Within mere minutes of being very close to or in direct contact with one, she passes out. She is unable to use any of her abilities when near one. If around three or more, it will render her unconscious and in a comatose-like state. Once away from them, it will take around a week for her to regain consciousness.
- Socialising. If you haven't figured it out by now, Amaris is not good with people unless they have something that she wants or can use. And if she even gets past her internal barriers and can stop making everything about her, she's really unskilled with showing a kinder side due to never using it. She's really awkward once you get past the tough exterior!

- Bartholomew Schulze: Her long lost lover she keeps an eye out for. He was her one and only love, and only positive relationship of her immortal life. Separated once they were both captured and sealed. She's not even sure if he's alive!

History

Amaris was reborn as an immortal vampire October 25th, 1837. Before that, she hardly remembers her mortal life, she only remembers feelings of it, and she knows it was painful and it makes her feel uncomfortable. This triggered the little brat she is now; she finds it harder to get hurt if you don't let people close enough to matter to where they can hurt you!
During this Victorian-like Era, Amaris was a terror of the town, but she kept it rather lowkey. Mobians were left severely injured, changed, or even killed. At this point, she was far more discreet; she had to be if she were to survive. It was a small enough town to notice any "off" characters. And she certainly did when Bartholomew Schulze arrived. Initially, they dispised each other. Each wanted to be the big-baddie of the town. Manipulate it with fear all while in the shadows. Amaris feigned being a seamstress, Bartholomew a salesman of jewelry. No one suspected either of being the cause of corrupted vampires appearing in droves, leaving family members having to kill those changed. It was not acceptable to have vampires afterall! Nor witches!
Eventually, Bartholomew pulled a stunt so powerful, Amaris couldn't top it. And it was decided at that point, she was rather impressed. Power is one way to this little lady's heart. She renounced rivalry and proposed a deal; using her network of blood bound servants disguised, and his wit, they control the town to do as they wish. And it was what they did! They eventually became inseperable lovers. Well, until they both became to bold and cocky with their devious plans. Amaris had gotten sloppy and bit the wrong person. A vampire hunter! It turns out the mortals were smarter than they both anticipated! She had walked right into a trap. They were caught early on when methods on how to kill a vampire were not fully understood, so they were both separated and had wards placed on them to keep them in a sleep. Buried deep for 150 years, Amaris lay. And lay. Until they day came that the power keeping her bound wore off, and she clawed her way from the earth, furious with herself and those that took her Bartholomew away from her!
Adjusting to the modern world has been... trying for her. But, after 15 years, she finally has adjusted. She now works as a hitman, taking down marks or tracking them as needed. Her goal once more is to find Bartholomew. Dead, or alive. Being reuinited, or... closure. She does find a delight in how open she can be with her skills compared to the past.
