Sootball

Soot (Soot From The Flames), later nicknamed Sootball is a 7 year old Tabaxi rogue. She lived with her Tabaxian mother Autumn (Autumn Turning To Winter) during her early childhood. Her mother cared for her in a reclusive hermit lifestyle on the outskirts of Ten-Towns, hunting, fishing and gathering materials from the wilds. They had very little interaction with other humanoid species, this was by the choice of her mother. Autumn was a skilled sorcerer and used a number of protection spells to secure Sootball's safety while living on the outskirts.

During a hunt, Autumn had made one too many mistakes with a ____ (insert monster here) and had become grappled by the monster's jaw. Sootball grasped her mother's hand, desperately trying to free her however Sootball was far too young, far too weak. Sootball watched her mother's arm rip from her body as she was devoured by the monster, the only remaining part of her mother was her arm, gripped by Sootball's tiny paw. After watching her mother's demise, Sootball had been teleported back to their hut. It was Autumn's last spell, ensuring Sootball wouldn't meet the same fate she did. Sootball stood alone in the hut, clutching onto her mother's severed arm, in complete shock. Her mother's arm has since decomposed, Sootball still carries her humerus bone under her cloak as a memento.

Sootball found shelter in the streets of a neighboring town ____ (Insert starting town). She has used her skills learnt by her mother to steal food and supplies for her survival. Her black fur and tiny, nimble body has made her a skilled pickpocket. Sootball's common tongue is broken as she learnt the language by overhearing conversations on the streets. She is a street-smart kid and speaks Tabaxian well. Despite her trauma, Sootball is still a kid and loves discovering new wonders from the world around her.
