Dog-Eared Pages

Dog's name was chosen LONG before she was born, due to being a cute reference to both of her mothers' hobbies - Fauna's love for animals, and Twilight's voracious appetite for books.

Truthfully, though, if they waited until she was born, she probably would've been named differently; unlike her parents, Dog's fur is incredibly bright, much to the delight of Aunt Pinkie.

The unusual lop ears and pointed teeth come from Fauna's side somewhere.
