 | - - - - - Quick recap... - - - - - • Age : 23 years old • Height : 1,60m (~5.2 ft) • Ravaaka's species is close to birds, so she feels at ease with the numerous ones who approach her in every circumstances and they all do as well. Three little birds, in particular, often follow her, as they took a liking in her. • Ravaaka is a Sentinel. For her people, it's a sacred role : she's supposed to endlessly roam through all the region to know everything that happens and to protect people before bad things happen, such as monster attacks. She mainly roams in a fantasy rainforest, including swamps, rivers and cliffs, sometimes to the desert's frontier. • Her role allows her to speak with great guardian creatures, some huge nature-bound creatures from ancient times, mainly to appease them, to be ensured that they won't accidently threaten entire communities, or even to ask for their help. They listen... sometimes. Ravaaka, for various reasons, isn't a very good Sentinel ! • Communicating and opening the mind to the sacred powers of the Sentinel is hard, but fighting is way easier ! Ravaaka fights with a long sword and is excellent with it, making good use of her wide wings and tail in combat. - - - - - Temperament - - - - - • Ravaaka is a friendly and playful person, but she also has a strong temperament and is rather impatient. She is also extra helpful and wants to do her best to resolve every single problem someone could encounter, because she needs to compensate for her bad performances as a Sentinel supposed to help people. • Her impatience is a problem. Her predecessor and only parent, her grandmother, disappeared before she could teach her to be a good Sentinel. Ravaaka wants to try and learn even without her help anymore, but Ravaaka doesn't want to take the time to try and learn. She's discouraged when she doesn't succeed to master the ancestral and hardly comprehensible powers associated with her fonction after a full afternoon of training - because you know, she's training really hard each time, and each time it fails, so she had enough with all this ! • Since she can't manage to master these abilities, such as being able to see through the eyes of all the beasts in the region to be informed of what happens and to arrive on time when problems occur somewhere, she is always late and fails to help the threatened people on time. Fortunately, no one ever died because of her yet; but she already disappointed many people. That's why she's always pushing herself to do her best to help everyone she encounters and to save people - even animals ! - - - - - Ravaaka's Mounts - - - - - • Ravaaka has 3 mounts : Nombeko, Navrataal and Ndari. • Nombeko is a really big zebu with great circular horns; he's been with her since she was a child and never left her side. • Navrataal and Ndari are a brother and sister antelope (Navrataal is the yellow-faced male and Ndari, the dark female). When she was 18, Ravaaka found them emaciated and almost dead when they were still babies; she rescued and raised them, with the support of Nombeko who fathered the young antelopes. • While Nombeko is a very reliable, strong and placid mount, he's starting to get old and was never the fastest of all. Navrataal then became Ravaaka's main mount, as he's young, very fast and highly dynamic; Ndari often follows them when they run through the forest. |
