Gabi meets Denki in the early months at UA. During the lunch periods and through classes, the second years and the first years can have time to mingle and speak to each other. With Kaminari being the natural flirt that he is, he blindly begins to flirt with Gabi Sanford. She is not impressed. Gabi does not care for him and rebuffs his advances and ignores his flirting. But she does take the time to tease him back. This leads to a banter type relationship full of jokes, with Denki blatantly pining and "simping" over Gabi. Often going as far to carry her books, get her lunch, and even offer her massages between classes, to which Gabi jokingly shoots him down.
Gabi and Denki have a very comfortable friendship and mirrors that of a couple who is very close and wisecracking. Denki affectionately calls her "Mama" and Gabi calls him a "dumbass". Through their jokes, Gabi begins to develop feelings for Denki but because of his playboy like tendencies, she tries to keep it from progressing any further as she feels that he's only joking around and fliritng. As Gabi withdraws slightly and tries to hangout with other guys, Denki loudly confesses his feelings for Gabi in the school cafeteria. Gabi appreciates his dedication and she offers a trial run before dating officially, as she doesn't completely trust that he's serious but within a couple of weeks, Denki completely wins her over and they begin dating officially.

Stats
PDA: Kaminari is the more affectionate of the pair. He loves to hug, kiss, and generally be mushy. Gabi is more reserved a bit more introverted, so she isn't likely to engage or seek out affection unless they're in private.

Protective: They are both very protective of each other but Kaminari recognizes Gabi's headstrong personality and gives her the room she needs to be independent, so it looks more hands off. Gabi however, introverted, will defend her idiot boyfriend until she's blue.

Trust: They were friends before so they built some sort of trust. Kaminari puts a lot of trust into Gabi and she acknowledges that when she goes off on her own.

Conflicts: Kaminari very rarely engages in any arguments because he's a bit airheaded and likes to joke a lot. Gabi, is a little more reserved at times so she can get annoyed at times when she's not in the mood to joke. She also tends to get very worried over him when he overuses his quirk but it seems to come out in anger, which she recognizes and tries to change.

Jealousy: Gabi isn't as jealous. Sometimes she gets annoyed due to his past and his personality but is able to brush it off. Kaminari is a bit more jealous due to being rejected quite a bit, so he's worried Gabi might find someone else more composed than he is.
