LURKER | ♀ | 7 YEARS OLD (ADULT)

ABOUT | Naiak is my only Sona. She represents my split self image and dealing with depression. Naiak is for her species a small, compact and overweight specimen with unusually large ears. Strangely, her fur colour is not clearly female and especially in winter coat she's almost indistinguishable from males. Though her frosty blue paws and almost constantly frozen tail make her easy to indentify. She's so plain, most people don't even detect her presence. Naiak has a creepy touch to her. Naiak is a super silent character that goes off the rails easily when overwhelmed. And she's often overwhelmed. Only when she feels absolutely safe, she opens up a bit and gets active. She's often described as grumpy or annoyed due to her resting-bitch-face, though this description is rarely true when people decribe her as such. Naiak carries a lot of anger and rage, breaking free more severly than planned at times. Usually she just eats up everything, even though it's making her sick. In one point she's acting especially erratically: empathy. Sometimes she can't stand situations because she feels too much and on some occations she's coldblooded, cruel and sadistic. She can't find a good middle course. Because of her enornous ears and all-observant eyes, she's constantly confronted with an overwhelming amount of information. So she often just sits still and stares into the void, trying to process. Social situations are a difficult thing for her, as she is either too polite to interrupt or waits for the perfect moment, which never comes. She likes the sounds of predators - the deep growls and rumbling of creatures multiple times her size. It makes her feel alive and makes her heart beat a little faster; which for her feels essential for survival as her heart sometimes is close to freezing. Bright lights, loud sounds and strong scents drive her crazy. Dislikes traveling. Her favourite place is home. Loves all kinds of birds and longingly watches them as they fly. For Naiak, feathers are the greatest treasure. She has a huge collection! Not a fennek, not a cat, not a bunny! Naiak hates her relations to cats and would much rather just be a normal hare. She despises cats from the depth of her heart.

THE FROST | Naiak suffers chronically from "The Frost" - an illness that permanently lowers an individuals body temperature and can even cause freezing of body parts. Naiak feels like a stuffed or taxidermied animal if she were to be pet. The freeze starts from tail and ends on snout. She cannot move frozen limbs and drags them behind. The freeze can progress and regress spontaneously but always at random degree. Freezing is painful but has no permanent negative effects on freezing body parts. Sometimes she tries to scratch herself free unsuccessfully, leaving her with scars. The frost will kill her if she freezes completely. Other than that, Naiak is surprisingly robust to illness and injury.
