Profile
Lady Feyeliostophossius, Kitriarch of the House of Goldbirch.
Technically, some would say, she shouldn't be using the title of Lady. After all, despite being from one of the old Houses, despite her predecessors as far back as the Dark Times - just like any of the other old Houses - being Time Lords and Ladies, Feyeli cannot officially be called a Time Lady. She didn't graduate the Academy, you see, and Time Lords can be rather particular about that sort of thing.
Time Lords can also be rather secretive about how often accidents actually befall Academy students. Two centuries of schooling, with increasing access to temporal and quantum engineering technology, knowledge and skills, and that natural inclination of youth to feel invincible, as they near the end of their formal education and are quite certain they already know all there is to know. It's bound to happen from time to time. Most of these accidents are never spoken about, outside rumour among the younger students - that sort of thing just doesn't happen among the ranks of the up and coming Time Lords, and could never possibly happen under the watchful eye of the esteemed academics. Many result in punishment or mindwiping, or both. Some result in fatalities, quickly erased from the history books as though they never existed at all. And then, there are those like Feyeli.
By the time of her accident, Feyeli was close enough to graduation that she had her Imprimatur of Rassilon, and so an incident that might otherwise have been fatal resulted in her first regeneration. It still almost resulted in death, though; her new body was afflicted with a hereditary condition of the hearts - the same one that had taken the lives of her own father only recently, that ran in the Goldbirch family line as far back as records had been kept. Even once stabilised in the Infirmary, it was clear that she would not be able to finish her studies, and so she returned home. Not officially in disgrace, but such a thing certainly isn't looked upon favourably in Time Lord society.
She wasn't alone, though. Oh, her House was empty - family long since dead or married away into more influential or notable families, trying to better themselves and shirk the name of a failing line. But there is another thing that Time Lords can be rather particular about.
Lower still in society and political influence than even House Goldbirch, outside of Time Lord society altogether, there are others on Gallifrey. The Outsiders, who have rejected the culture and technology of the Capitol and all its trappings. And the Shobogans, born into a lower caste of Gallifreyans, although still of the same species. Sometimes, Shobogans find work in the Capitol - those menial jobs considered beneath a ranked Time Lord...and it was there, dusting ceremonial collars in the Cerulean Chapter's wardrobe room, that Feyeli first met a young man called Jorley.
Of course, they had to be more than secretive. Dalliances and trysts just aren't how proper Time Lords do things. And besides - Time Lords marry for politics, so the very idea of a Time Lady Aspirant even speaking to a Shobogan would be unthinkable. But in a way, the secrecy of it all only excited Feyeli more. She is something of a dreamer at hearts, a poetic soul who can lose herself in tales of romance and love of the sort many Time Lords never truly experience. Jorley was more of a stickler for the rules, but Feyeli stirred something in him - she was the air to his earth, the melody to his steady tempo - and needless to say, he was smitten.
After her regeneration, his steadfast loyalty and diligence came into their own. He married her, and moved into the House of Goldbirch to care for her. He brought her medications, cooked, cleaned, and continued his work in the Capitol from dawn til dusk every day. The young couple knew they didn't have long. Feyeli was in danger of being the last of her line, and Jorley...well, perhaps he wanted some part of her to carry on with. That much was clear in the name they gave the son they had Loomed - Vansellostophossius.
They hadn't been expecting their son to be able to attend the Academy - one needed connections to be considered for admission, after all, and at least one ranked Time Lord parent. But, unexpectedly at the age of nine, young Vansell was offered a scholarship and a promise of a future career. Jorley was hesitant - he didn't trust this "Celestial Intervention Agency" - but Feyeli accepted, relieved and delighted that he could be provided for.
The empty House took its toll, though. Now alone in the increasingly dilapidated old building for most of the day, Feyeli's condition progressed more rapidly than ever; and just less than two years after their son entered the Academy, Jorley would come home to find his young wife cold and lifeless in her chair in front of the draught-blown ashes of the fireplace.

Art notes:
- There's a reference page up, but I can't colour to save myself, so it's black and white toned sketches. Colouring is as follows:
- Hair is light blonde, eyes pale blue, complexion pallid.
- Robes are the traditional colours of the Cerulean Chapter - that is, well, cerulean. Two shades, follow the toning in the sketch.
- She has very limited mobility and strength, so keep that in mind when drawing her - don't draw her standing, for instance.
- Can be drawn with or without the oxygen mask and tank (she needs it, but she'll be more than happy to ditch it for the duration of your picture!).
---
Ideas for if you're attacking her:
- She's usually in a chair in front of the fireplace, often with a blanket or two around her, in a big, old, cold, dilapidated house, if you're looking for a scene to draw.
- She's young, and she's a dreamer with thwarted ambitions - let her daydream! You could draw her looking all fancy, in proper ceremonial Time Lord robes and collar (Cerulean colours, remember) with nice makeup and jewelry, hair all done up.
- I'll put up a profile for Jorley at some point, so maybe something 'shippy with him will take your fancy?
- Plant memes about Ceruleans are totally kosher! Or, y'know, regular nice things with exotic, alien plants from Gallifrey.
- Or, I am always more than delighted with interactions with your OCs, or crossovers! Toss canon to the wind and have fun with her! Keep her personality in mind, though - she's never left Gallifrey, and never encountered a human or other alien species before. She'd be a bit cautious, but secretly a bit curious and excited, even though she knows she's not supposed to be.
- Also cool with things like species swaps just for fun - go for it, draw a kitten/dragon/cockatoo version of her! In fact, do what you like with her! Cyberpunk cyborg AU version? Pokemon trainer version? Show me! : D
- Sadly, we can't use canons in the ArtFight proper - but if you're here from minigames, do feel free to include her son Vansell (who is canon) as a young child.
