Hoshino Cocoa was once an ordinary teddy bear that belonged to a young girl who loved and cared for her like a pet. The girl died, however, due to a fatal illness, leaving Cocoa all alone for many years. One night, while a series of shooting stars were flying across the sky, one of the stars came down to Earth and merged with her, giving her the human form she has now.
