Backstory

Lyss was born in the underworld of Coruscant to a Zabrak mother and Human father. Her father was loving and was always a rock for Lyss, her mother however was always criticizing her and this gave Lyss a nervous demeanor.

To make ends meet, her father started taking odd jobs for the Black Sun, eventually getting in too deep to quit.

One day, Finn was on a mission to investigate the Black Sun and their ties to the First Order (after the First Order fell) and he finds Lyss and discovers she is force sensitive. He leaves without Lyss but when he gets back to the temple, Rey encourages him to take on a Padawan.

He returns to Coruscant to find Lyss' house ransacked. He tracks her back to the Black Sun, who discovered that the family sheltered Finn. Lyss is able to escape with her ability to cloak herself.

Together she and Finn rescue her family and he takes her to the temple.
