"Sorry, it's part of Mother's orders..."
Alyssa was born to AJ Dahl and Kylee Andre. She was under her mother's custody until she was nearing her teens. During the time she was with Kylee, however, she had enough damage that she was a little afraid to go to her father. Kylee had instilled into the child that her father was a horrible creature and that if she ever associated with him, she might as well be too. Alyssa has the same type of ears and tail that AJ has, and Kylee took whatever measures she could. She had almost tried to cut the tail completely, but realized that would potentially harm Alyssa to a point of no explanation. The tail had to stay, but the ears could be hidden. Ever since Alyssa was about three years old, she has had a hat to cover her ears. This has caused her to have muffled hearing and it only gets worse, but she never likes to take the hat off. Even when in her father's care, she keeps the hat on.
When in Kylee's care, even as a young child, Alyssa was used as a bit of a trap to help her mother hunt and kill supernatural beings. Reaching age 10 and until she was put to her father, she would hunt just as her mother would, and it would cause her to break down at night, knowing she took a life of someone who was no different than herself. When she got to her father, she was happy that she didn't have to kill anymore.

Her ears are the same color as her tail.
Alyssa would much rather be helping humans and "monsters" get along, but she has no way to do so.
She says her last name is Andre, you ain't gonna get her to say her last name is Anahl. Try to pronounce it; you'll know why.
Alyssa does know ASL. She learned this herself, knowing the hat harmed her hearing and the loud noises of gunshots have also harmed her hearing. She sometimes uses that if she's annoyed.
AJ Dahl
[ Father ] Alyssa is a little apprehensive near him, mostly due to what Kylee has taught her and how she is around anyone of her own species. She tries to warm up to her and is alright around him, but gets annoyed at his protectiveness. She doesn't understand why he's so protective.
Kylee Andre
[ Mother ] Alyssa is afraid of Kylee, and for good reason. After a lot of mental torment and because she is why Alyssa is arguably hard-of-hearing, Alyssa does not want anything to do with her. Even if she notices or hears anything about her, she instinctively starts to shake a little bit...
