Fiora Lambert

Weehaw, the fantasy train isn't stopping. I have, like... five characters in mind. My baby girl Fi is one of them, alongside her princess Ciel (Who I'll talk about later, I'm currently working on her design haha), these music-themed assassin twins (The Allegretto Sirens), and this electricity-based necromancer Isbel (who I may or may not include in this plot, but uh I love them so y'know haha.) And I know that I'm just going to keep coming up with more. Things are fun haha.

Though anyways! First to talk about Fiora! I really love how her design turned out?? She is so cute and soft, and I think that works wonderfully for her. I also focused on giving her a rounder, curvier body type? Honestly, while visualizing her design I hadn't really thought of that idea. But I think that works really well for her now that I've drawn her! And of course I had to zoom into teal and orange haha. Honestly, even if I don't use them too much, one of my absolute FAVORITE color palettes EVER in designs is white/cream, teal, and orange (typically at least one yellow orange and a red orange, though also just a true orange in there too.) It always looks spectacular okay?? I'll code her soon, but for now have some information!

As her name may suggest, Fiora Lambert is Atlas's younger sister. The two of them were born in a farming family, who raised them in a quaint little village in the country between the one Veridis is in and the one that Daybreak (and particularly the Skycroft Kingdom) is in. She was very close to Atlas when they were young, and the two worked and played together constantly. However, they ended up separated during a fiery disaster that decimated the village. Atlas was rescued by the Captain of Elysium's guard, who had stopped in the town briefly on his way back from patrol. Fiora, on the other hand, was rescued by a maid from the Skycroft kingdom who had entered town on royal business. While Atlas was taken back to Veridis and taught how to be a knight, Fiora was trained in being a maid in the enemy state of Daybreak. After training for a while, Fiora was tasked with being the personal retainer to Princess Ciel Solaira Skycroft; she was to keep Ciel safe and happy at all times. The two became very close to one another as time passed, even if they were at first on bad terms. After years go by, Ciel ends up capturing Lailah, Shepherd, and Atlas to hold as ransom for her enemy Elysium in Veridis. Fiora, recognizing Atlas immediately, decides to help the trio escape the situation they had found themselves in. She eventually joins the party with Ciel, and... well, you know!

As a person, Fiora is very charming, sweet, and outgoing. She is incredibly talkative and bubbly, and will keep you occupied in conversation for hours on end. She is a ball of energy, and is always ready to run and explore. She has a very playful demeanor, and likes to be the person who always makes others smile. She's always more than happy to make friends, and cares deeply for those she already has around her. She is a sister to all, in a sense, and always goes out of her way to make sure the people around her feel like family. She is very polite and charming, and is quite the social butterfly. She is great at negotiation, which can help with royal tensions significantly. Under her cutesy and soft exterior, however, is a highly dedicated caretaker. She takes her job as Ciel's retainer very seriously, and will do whatever she can to make sure her every duty is fulfilled. She has incredible determination, which helps to carry her and her friends through even the hardest circumstances. She's a go-getter in every sense of the word, and she hopes to inspire others with her level of achievement.

However, she has her flaws as well. Sometimes her energy can get a bit too overwhelming. She can become airheaded or immature at times because of it, leading to complicated situations. She has a tendency to let her fantasies lead her moreso than reality at times, and can get lost in her daydreams easily if she doesn't remain focused. She follows her heart much more than her head, and often her emotions and personal values can cloud her judgement of situations. She is selfless to a fault, and often gives too much of herself for the sake of others. She can be a pushover due to this, and will sometimes have difficulty standing up for herself. This is especially the case if she fears that she may upset someone by doing as such. She absolutely hates conflict, and tries to do whatever she can to avoid it, even if she sacrifices her own happiness in the process. She can get very timid in times of panic as well. While she will always do her best to fulfill her duty and keep Ciel safe, she can have her moments of weakness. Despite how easy-going she may seem, she can actually get stressed very easily. However, she does her best not to let this get her down!

In combat, Fiora excels in magic. She, much like her older brother, uses earth magic. However, her abilities are all based around plants. Her main form of defense comes in the form of her whip, Daisy Chain. It is a whip she creates from her magic out of vines and flowers, and it serves her rather well. Typically, she tries to focus on nonlethal (and typically non-harmful) forms of attack. She often uses her whip more to bind than to harm, though she can do both. She also uses her magic to provide assists to others, which is really her strongest attribute. While she may not be the strongest fighter around, she is a master at medic skills. She can put her talents to use in order to heal and assist her teammates, which she finds to be a much better role for her than fighting.

And some facts!

• Much like Atlas, she has a huge soft spot for gardening. She tends to all the gardens in the castle in her free time, and she absolutely adores plants.
• She has a variety of domestic skills, from cooking to sewing, and she often likes relying on them out in the world.
• People often joke about how she is the antithesis to Ciel in just about every way. Where the princess is typically very brash and snarky, Fiora is kind and agreeable. There are rumors that she is really the one who keeps relationships running smoothly in the kingdom, which she will neither confirm nor deny.
• She absolutely loves bunnies! They're easily her favorite animal!
• She loves daisies, and they're definitely her favorite kind of flower.
• She finds it very relaxing to braid things and make bows. She often carries around ribbons with her that she can fiddle with when she's feeling anxious.
• As floaty as her other ambitions are, she is very down-to-earth when it comes to her value of family. She values family above all else, whether they be related by blood or by just trust. She desperately wants to have a family of her own one day, or at least to be able to find her brother and be happy with him once more.
• She gets along great with children! She loves caring for them, and would love to be a mother some day.
• She is a total nut for ginger. It's easily her favorite flavor, and she is happy to use it in everything she possibly can.
• She loves playing with others' hair and dressing them up. She thinks it's very rewarding to be able to bring out the best in others style-wise.
• She really loves to dance, and is quite good at it! She often practices dancing with Ciel before balls and such, and she has a great time with it.
• There is a huge chance that she has a crush on Ciel, if she isn't just dating her already. While they have to keep this relationship secret if so, they do care for each other deeply.
