• Cyrus's body is made entirely of smoke and ash. Their head tends to wisp up in any direction. When threatened, their mouth releases sparks and burns brighter. (which set off the sprinklers in the ceiling)
• Seemingly makes no noise except for a crackle, like wood burning when they talk. Has a heavy Southern accent when talking. Doesn't really notice unless someone points it out.
• They always wear gloves. Their entire wardrobe has their body covered except for their head. They don't want anything to infect them.
• As Foreman, Cyrus manages all the employees that run around the building. Schedules, timesheets, complaints, etc. They are not well-liked by others for how dismissive they are of the horrors that occur in the tunnels, but the job pays well enough to keep them around. All excuses and no action are how they go about the complaints. The tunnels must be taken care of, no matter what.
• Before becoming foreman, Cyrus was a young microbiologist that helped discover how to hold back the encroaching growths. It was concluded the team build a large facility at the border of the growths to block it from infecting the rest of the county. Nearing the completion of the tunnel an incident occurred that finally broke Cryus, forcing them to retire from their work, they took up finance and management eventually arriving at the position they are in now. With the incident, their personalities completely changed from the ones who knew Dr. Cyrus.
• Cyrus is constantly angered yet impressed at Red's handling of the tunnels. His ideas for better structure and filtration have shown results yet Red's curiosity about why these problems arouse in the first place annoys Cyrus.
