Time folded in on itself like an origami crane. He burst from its center and created the world we know.

Maybe is a very ancient god trapped in a mortal vessel, and he has made it his duty to get his old form and powers back, no matter the cost. 

Much to Maybe’s chagrin, nobody seems to know of his past existence as a god. Its as if his fall from the heavens erased him from history. He’s been slowly trying to regain his followers, as a god is only a god with someone to believe in them. He can’t just go around saying he created half the universe though, people will think he’s crazy. For now, he’s just a messenger, a prophet, living in his own shadow. Many are skeptical of his teachings while others choose to blindly follow him in his religion.
