The Horseman of Famine himself

Famine can be considered the more chill and fun loving brother out of the horsemen, to counter his eldest brother's cold and calculated nature. He cares immensely for his brothers, and wishes the best for them in terms of their safety and well being, and will absolutely lose it if someone hurt (or god forbid kill) any one of them. That being said, his position as the bringer of Famine and drain on the land means he's not above some coldness himself, as he first and foremost cares about keeping the balance of the universe, just notably less so than Death.

Background:

Famine was born sometime after life began to fester, categorizing those who had died from starvation. A lack of food was his specialty, and despite it he seemed hardly bothered by it. Course, as the second oldest, he often compensated for Death's coldness with his own warmth, so none of the brothers would feel isolated from each other. This would go from Pestilence and Death to even the newest brothers of War and Conquest.

However, Balance would be first tested in the sudden extinction of the Dinosaurs. None of them knew who was responsible, although Pesti was quick to blame Death for causing the extinction, or at the very least not stepping in to prevent it. Then came the war between Heaven and Hell. Try as all the brothers did, they couldn't stay out of it forever: The universe was growing instable from the conflict, so they set out to fix it.

Famine took on the generals of Gluttony and Greed: Gretyl and Avarice. When he told them his mission and demanded they step down, he was simply laughed at...at first. When he tried to put pressure on them, Gretyl responded by eating the horseman whole. Such an action would become his downfall, as Famine used his own hair to suck Gretyl dry, weakening him to the point he couldn't stop his own body from being torn apart by Famine's wendigo form. Avarice quickly surrendered after that, fearing a similar fate would befall him. The general was jailed and interrogated, and with that info the horsemen quickly worked to end the war by incapacitating the generals, although it took the threat by Death upon Satan's own son to cease the war for good. While heaven was grateful for the Horsemen's work, many hellborne demons hated them for stepping in, although they soon stopped hating and started fearing the skeletal beings.

Peace would remain among the brothers until, in a bitter rage from being ignored, Pestilence unleashed a plague upon the world that could end humanity as they knew it. War tried to stop it himself, but got infected by that same plague. Famine almost got involved, but Death told him to just watch over the sick brother, he'll take care of it. And he kept to that promise, although it took blowing Pesti up with gunpowder to keep him down long enough for Death to purge the plague from humanity and contain it elsewhere. This caused a huge rift between Pestilence and Death, and Pestilence grew dangerously abusive towards Death. Famine would try to stop it multiple times, but Pesti would grow sneakier, and stopped striking his brother directly in favor of just putting him down with his acidic words.

The Last time Famine would hear from his brother Death would be in the 1903: He went off to reap a soul...but never came back. Famine has no idea where Death went or what happened, and honestly it's beginning to worry him that he hasn't heard from his brother. Pesti may celebrate the disappearance, but the reality is there were in fact people who cared about Death, despite his distant nature...

Fun Facts:

-Famine's hair has a unique anatomy to each follicle: they're tube-like, and capable of sucking up nutrients from whatever they're stabbed into. You wouldn't notice a single hair, but many stabbed into you can starve you very quickly...

-Had heard rumors that Death lost his scythe, isn't sure they're true, however.

-Pokes fun and shares bad puns with Conquest and War. He may occasionally joke with Pesti, but that brother's behavior as of recent has strained their relationship a bit.
