Valent

Valent was taken from his family at a very young age and forced to fight in an illegal arena for the entertainment of others. Though he was eventually freed, his time there left its marks on him, physical and mental. He's scarily desensitized to violence and has trouble caring about people, since he's used to losing anyone who showed a shred of compassion to him in one way or another. Though he's usually most concerned with practical matters, Valent has a strong sense of honor and fairness.

He lives near Mellie, and the two of them are basically marrried. Isabel is their daughter.
