He lives in the large living space above his music shop in the center of town. With him lives his pet royal hunting dog Anubias that his parents send with him when he moved from Egypt to the Caribbean island. His parents you see being wealthy and well respected in their home town, didn't like the idea of their rebellious unruly son moving to the Caribbean on his own without supervision so they send Anubias to look after him. Anubias is a very serious dog who most of the time is scowling and being fancy. Whenever Jack tries to play with him and throws a ball or toy at him he will watch it fall in front of him or roll past him before looking unamused at Jack. Jack says he is no fun but still loves Anubias, him reminding him of home. Anubias does care about Jack too, taking the job his parents gave to him very seriously. He is a bit of a guardian to the young adult who to his dismay keeps going to shady places with Zack and doing small crimes. He follows Jack where ever he can, protecting him from harms way.
As his last name implies, he is a far descendant of the Egyptian god Anubis which is why his blood is gold. He is however such a far descendant that he has little to no special powers and he doesn't see himself as being surpereor to anyone. He is proud of his descendance but that's it. As you can see by his glorious mohawk, he is a punk boy who is super cool and chill. His best friend is Zack, with whom he often hangs out at his music store "Rebelation" and jams with after closing time. He plays electric guitar, bass and drums mostly, experiments with electric violin and sometimes plays around with the keyboard. He loves music and rhythm games too. Jack has this intuition that allows him to help people that visit his store to find them the music they like and might want to try out. He by the way sells all kinds of music, and respects all kinds. In the slim chance that you can't find the CD you are looking for, he will immediately order it for you and try his best to make it arrive as soon as possible. Most of the time he is friendly but seeing he often goes to late night parties, clubs, arcades and such, you might catch him being a bit snappy or dozing off on the job, especially on Mondays. He also sometimes participates in small crimes with his friend Zack
