BACKSTORY:

Ethereal is the future queen of a country called Sundusk. Currently she lives a rather uneventful life, albeit one of luxury. But she is burdened with the knowledge that someday, she'll have to replace her mother as the new queen, a responsibility she doesn't want. Her unusual friendship with her bodyguard Adder is one of the things that helps keep her strong.

Ethereal's story has two branching futures: the Runaway timeline, in which she ends up becoming queen, and the Deliverance timeline, in which her sister does.

PERSONALITY:

Negative: Indecisive / Envious / Unconfident / Sometimes unforthcoming

Ethereal is a reserved person who values her alone time. She doesn't like excessive responsibility and envies the freedom of the common citizens, somewhat ignorant to how difficult their lives are. She speaks with clean, elegant diction most of the time, but it can dissolve into awkward fumbling when she is caught off-guard or simply doesn't know what to say.

Despite her shyness, Ethereal can be pushy when she wants something. She's been known to pull out the princess card to get things that most people wouldn't be able to. Even though she's not entirely comfortable being a princess, she's still very aware of her status and is not above using it to her advantage. She rarely acts maliciously, but doesn't always realise the consequences of her actions.

Ethereal was a rather spoilt child, but her relationship with Adder has helped her grow into a mature, thoughtful woman. She seeks to be as open-minded as possible. However, she's still learning, so she slips up from time to time.

DESIGN:

Ethereal is a tall, slender silver dragon with black diamond markings. She has black horns and very thin, sharp spikes. Her eyes are purple. She commonly wears a green ring in each ear and a jewelled bracelet on her left wrist which symbolises her royalty.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Adder

Adder was hired to protect Ethereal from potential assassins while her parents were away from home. However, after they returned, Adder opted to stay on and continue to guard her. Over the years, the two have developed a strange, reserved sort of friendship. More recently, rumours have sprung up that the princess and her guard have feelings for each other, eliciting disapproval from Ethereal's mother. Neither of them have confirmed this.

Family

Ethereal has two younger sisters, Lumer and Neptune, who she is very fond of. Her relationship with her mother is, at times, strained due to disagreements. However, they still care for each other. She admires her father but isn't particularly close to him.

ABILITIES:

Like all of her species, Ethereal can shift between dragon and human form at will.

She practises swordsmanship so that she won't be helpless if she's ever attacked in human form. She is not a skilled fighter yet.

TRIVIA:

- If she chooses not to become queen, her younger sister Lumer will instead. However, Ethereal will feel guilty about passing this heavy responsibility onto her.

- Enjoys playing MMORPGs.

- Loves meat and tries to include it in as many meals as possible.
