Akina means solidarity, bond, family bond. Inspired a bit by both parents and how they had received their names, she was given a name to help remind her of what she had in life and also one she could strive to live by. She was the first born to the pair and they both felt like she would be a strong part of the family. They also wanted her to remember the strong bond between them. All of them. Elewisa and Hediye were overjoyed when they learned they were expecting. More than anything, they wanted their cubs to feel loved and to know just how much they were loved by all of their family. Growing up, she was aware of the strength behind her name. The feeling of unity with her family and the name they chose for her. She felt honored to be given a name so dear and special.
