Yansa is a traveling merchant and noble's daughter, who's on an adventure to find a rare plant to help heal her brother's sickness. She is very kind, albeit naïve. She is very brave, but all too trusting in the world.

Yansa grew up somewhat sheltered, reading and hearing stories from those she was left in the care of. Her parents were often gone, leaving her with enough money to have and do whatever she wanted. Yet, this left her quite lonely -- until her brother was born.

She's in over her head, the adventure is a lot more than she bargained for.
