About

Born and raised Hyperion but somehow able to avoid the brainwashing, Blake's incredible mental and physical resilience found him safety under the wings of a Crimson Raider and Vault Hunter. While the Crimson Raiders had their doubts about him at first due to his origins, he has been nothing short of wholly loyal to the Crimson Raiders.

Shooting, killing, and making awesome weaponry is all Blake knows, so why not put those skills to use? He travels the borderlands and picks up contracts to keep his days busy, though he is most often found by the side of his big sister figure, Navire.

Having endured a lifetime of having to watch his back and never trusting anyone, Blake unfortunately has some deep-seeded trust issues and is often hesistant to meet new people - especially when they're holding guns. He's worked past a lot of it with time and effort, but really only ever finds the ability to relax with Navire around. His wariness and instinct has helped him survive many times. Despite his cautious outlook, he's more than capable of handling himself when things go to shit and has no issue causing mass destruction. In fact, he relishes in it.

Likes

Technology

Blake is a huge tech fan and loves having a lot of stuff to experiment and play around with. The more complex, the better.

Shotguns

Blake favours shotguns heavily. Anything that can cause lots of targeted destruction is a win for him.

Quiet Evenings

Blake is a night owl, but his favourite time of day is the evening. Nothing is more peaceful than a quiet evening where he has time to work on something new.

Guitar

Blake plays the guitar and is quite good at it, even though he doesn't always have the opportunity to show it.

Dislikes

Strangers with guns

Blake finds it very hard to trust strangers with guns, especially if they seem even slightly interested in shooting him.

Cocktails

While Blake drinks regularly as a social thing, he doesn't actually like cocktails and finds them pretty disgusting.

Hyperion

Blake hates Hyperion for all that it is. He doesn't mind Vaughn, Rhys, and Timothy, for he understands they were all screwed by Hyperion just like he was.

Tannis's ability as a doctor

Blake doesn't trust Tannis's ability as a medical doctor. He believes she should stick to science.

Moodboard

Loadout

Action Skill Striker

Drop weapons and enter Striker mode. During Striker mode, Navire can jump to enemies enemies within 10m of her, dealing 300% melee damage on contact. After hitting an enemy, she pushes them back for an additional 150% melee damage. Kills during Striker give additional time with dimishing returns, up to 50% extra time.

Get to high ground. Always shock. Critical hits release a shockwave that rapidly depletes enemy shields. Kills release three more shockwaves that travel and deal less damage than the last.

Dastardly Amazing Grace Jakobs Pistol

Memento mori. Critical hits return 1 bullet to the gun.

Speedloadn' Hellwalker Jakobs Shotgun

So, my demons. Your time has come. Always incendiary. Fast reload time, massively increased damage. Bullets fire in an inverted pentagram pattern.

Breath of the Dying Dahl Assault Rifle

VexHelElEldZodEth. Always corrosive. Kills release an explosion of corrosive spheres that travel outwards.

Stop-Gap Hyperion Shield

The process is called "living". Upon shield break, grant 5 seconds of immunity.

Hex Atlas Grenade Mod

Keeper of the stars, I hope to never find... Homes in on the nearest enemy and releases a cryo beam.

Story

Navire is Pandoran born and raised, though her young days became unconventional very quickly. Born a feral but intelligent animal, Navire's den was raided by Hyperion. While her mother tried to protect her, she was shot dead and Navire was taken away. She was placed under extremely cruel and gruesome Eridium experimentations with the goal of splicing the skill and instinct of an animal with the survivability of a human, resulting in a hybrid animal-person. Fortunately for Navire, she was one of the successful ones and was spliced with that of a seven year old girl. While she was slated to continue to live in Hyperion's grasps and be subject to more of their horrid work, she was able to escape during a bandit raid that distracted the guards.

Navire wandered Pandora alone for several weeks after her escape, getting used to her new body and learning to survive alone. She met future Crimson Raider Corporal Reiss and stalked him, stealing his food and getting away with it for days. When she finally slipped up and got caught, Reiss took pity on the confusing sight after she admitted that she didn't know who, what, or where she was. Reiss opted to take her in and raise her as his own despite her non-human look.

Reiss raised Navire for 20 years, teaching her everything she needed to know to not just survive - but thrive in the borderlands. She became an incredible marksman by the time she was 10, travelling with Reiss. After the Vault of the Destroyer was opened and the Crimson Raiders formed, Navire joined up with Roland, Lilith, Brick and Mordecai as well. She worked with the Crimson Raiders all the way until the day Reiss died when Navire was 27, just as the new Vault Hunters Jack had sabotaged were making their way to Sanctuary.

Heartbroken and grieving for the loss of her father figure, Navire left for the Caustic Caverns and remained out there on her own. During her time there, she pursued and tracked a Vault Key shard, keeping it with herself until the Vault Hunters arrived to collect it from her. After the key shard was collected, she returned to Sanctuary to assist in taking down Handsome Jack for her own personal vengeance.

After the Vault of the Warrior was looted and Handsome Jack died, Navire continued to work with the Crimson Raiders despite tensions with Lilith. She then met Blake by chance and opted to take him in instead of killing him, even if it went against Lilith's orders. Navire saw her own scared self in Blake and did her best to protect him, helping him come out of his shell and find his place among the Crimson Raiders.

In the seven-year gap between the Vault of the Warrior and the rise of Sanctuary III, Navire and Blake travelled the border plants in search of work. At some point, they split so that Blake could work for Wainwright Jakobs on a contract while Navire assisted her old time friend Rhys with his Atlas-Maliwan war business. After the war was settled, Navire travelled to Eden-6 to meet up with Blake and the Vault Hunter, and returned to Sanctuary III after the Vault of the Graveward was opened. They continued to assist the Crimson Raiders in the fight against Tyreen and Troy from Sanctuary.
