PERSONALITY
Bio
Westin is a tough one to describe properly in words. Especially past his superhero facade he puts on for show. He likes to boast and act as confident as can be- even if he isn’t all that! Fake it ‘till you make it! The boy is often found smiling even when he wants to cry, a hopeless optimist trying to force himself to stay in the positive walls. He’s an excitable face among any crowd, and is sure to annoy anyone who dares cross his path. Despite that, however, he always makes his best effort to keep those around him happy, even at the sacrifice of his own happiness. Although he tries very hard to keep those around him happy, Westin can be rather self consumed when it’s involving something he likes. By this, he will not see the others around him when he’s invested, which usually leads to someone getting hurt because of him. He’s very much easily distracted- and impulsive, at that. This typically ends in Westin getting into too much trouble than he’s worth, his desperate hero act carrying over into who he actually is as a person in the end. He’s a firm believer in the fact that there’s good in everyone, and will go through hell to make sure that people are given the chance he thinks they deserve. He’s a very determined kid, and it’s hard to beat him down. He’s like a roach! No amount of negativity will get him to crack- as he often deflects insults with a smile and a wave. Alas, the boy tries his hardest in his day-to-day life to keep himself as the best version of himself that he could be- even if he wasn’t perfect, surely it was enough that he was trying, right? A thundering dumbass, who would get himself and those around him into danger, that’s all he is at the end of the day. His “save everyone” mentality would end up being his downfall every time anything happened, Westin internalizing all of his pain, blaming himself every time something happened. And the problem is, it takes a lot of convincing to get the stubborn boy to see anything else but faults in himself.
Trivia
- Self proclaimed super hero despite just being a comic artist; wears the name Captain Chameleon like a trophy, even if he gets bullied for it in school.
- Made his costume himself, and wears it almost everywhere!
- Used to want to be a superhero himself, but has opted to stick to just staying in the arts.
- Has a pet lizard, a leaf tailed gecko named "Spidey", after his favorite superhero.
- Often tries leaping off of ledges that are just a little too high to see if he's gotten superpowers yet.
Relationships
[ crush ] If you asked him? He'd say he didn't know a Beatrice in his life. But in reality, he's met a girl who's a fan of his comics, AND likes his personality? He's fallen head over heels for her and spends most of his time at home showing her his latest work and texting her until he falls asleep.
[ best friend ] Cinder Carmine is his partner in crime- or, well, his kind of sidekick! In reality, she's just playing along with his superhero charades so he stops getting bullied, but she isn't particularly too fond of how seriously he takes it.
[ mortal enemy ] So called "leader" of their little superhero club, Westin can't stand how smart he is. Despite the fact that he spends a lot of time at Akuru's house, he'd rather overthrow him so that he can be the club leader instead.
